An unpredictable Dutch supercar, not for the faint hearted.
I tried to make it a more predictable, or as predictable as 637 HP and 910 KG can be:sly:.
A spoiler was not an option for me, it spoils the beautiful design, alas no spoiler.
You could of course add one if you want that extra aerodynamica.

Please comment, as this is my first tune. I only did it because there were none available.

Did you see the thread about bugged suspension tuning? Your -15 / -12 ride height setting points that you should read it too.

Yeah, accept this one drives fine with these settings. Not going to change if until i fully understand how it's bugged.

One of my favourite cars and your tune looks pretty close to the one I came up with. Good job.

You'll find that discussion here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=202692

It's basically saying that front and rear ride heights are reversed in the game, meaning a higher front actually gives you more bite (oversteer) than a lower front. To me it's just a theory at this point, not yet proven with testing, but it's definitely something to watch out for. Could be a real game changer.

I'll have to take a peek at my tune & compare... Maybe try yours...

It took me AGES to get it to behave!
I did it from scratch because I couldn't find anything online for this car.

I did add a wing. ;) :ouch: And I used some ballast, and some less hp I think.
My LSD settings were higher, my camber lower.
But I'm a newbie, so that can account for some of my tuning.

I like the car though, it's fun. And it IS possible to make it behave. Most of the time. :)

More & more I think this depends on the car.
At first I thought it was FR dependent... that it was more with FR cars... But now thinking back to my tuning of this Laviolette... I don't remember having the same issue as with say the RM Cappucino that I seem to find suspension tuning going contrary to what I'm told works in real life.

Coincidentally Ms. Punch, I did test out a few cars with this whole reverse suspension theory and one of them was the Spyker. Take whatever settings you have for the Spyker to your favourite track, one that you can run close lap times on and run a few laps to establish a baseline. Then add say +20/+30 and +40 to the front ride height and see what happens to the handling of the vehicle. I think you're in for a surprise...lol.

I found the Cappy one of the hardest cars to tune. You'll spend time on it, think it's handling great, take it to an online practice lobby for the race series and find you're a second or two off the pace and can't figure out why...lol. I spent a lot of time trying to figure it out in the last Cappy series and ended up finishing fourth overall, but was on pace only for the last race. In the others I was about a second or so off the pace and over 25-30 laps that can add up.

I did mess around with the Cappy a bit with the reverse suspension settings and it seemed to make some minor differences in handling but it didn't translate to lap times. It might make a bigger difference online with the reduced grip, we'll have to wait and see.

I will try & see. I'll let ya know.

I think the RM Cappucino is difficult because there's no happy medium. It either lurches & wallows, or it doesn't turn, or it spins, or understeers, or it won't brake... OR it can do things well - but it's unstable.

Punch did you try the tune I posted in the Cappy thread? I got down to 1:02.35 with it and easily ran 1:02.5-1:02.8 consistently. I believe you are using a DS3 (DFGT here) and I'm not sure how it will work with that but it's worth a try. Give it a shot and if it doesn't work, let me know how it handles and I'll try and correct it for you, if necessary, with a DS3 version especially for you...lol.

LOL Thanks. Yes I use a ds3. And I have a peculiar way of driving maybe - or so I've been told. (Not that it's probably good... maybe it's not bad... but it's the way I drive the fastest.)

Do you mean Mike at Vengence tune for the RM Capp?
I tried that one.

First off, the LSD accel setting was too high to kind of oversteer it to blow it out of the corners. Not saying I would set them the same way for an online race with other real people in the cars... just because I'd be wary of being that unstable. But I had to really tinker them to get a good "hot lap".

Second, why the anti roll bars at a measly 1? I think I had to put them up to 3 or maybe even 4 - or the car wouldn't turn the way I wanted.
Plus, the ride height & max aero... I was worried that maybe that was accentuating the problems I was having.

So I tried a different tune... And that was even worse. Though I did better times. But I looked like a mad dog doing them.
But the best time I got - 1:04:6, was with how my bf tuned the car, with me just lowering the LSD settings a tad.

I'm still not happy with it.
Now I'm not saying I expect to get 1:02:whatever with ANY set up... I'm probably just not that good. BUT, I have wondered if someone had a secret that I was totally missing in the tuning.

Anyway, sorry for hijacking the thread... But really, both cars ARE a tad similar, now that I think about how I struggled to tune the Laviolette. It had some similar problems I dealt with. Though I think with the Laviolette I actually had to go higher on the LSD accel and lower on the arb.

But I still haven't had a chance to look at my Laviolette & see where my suspension ride height is, and see if I can do something else.
Has anyone else tried that?

I was talking about my own tune, that I posted before the Mike Tune. I've tuned a few cars and I'm quite happy with the results but I've never posted a tune before and I'm kind of disappointed I got no feedback on it because I assume that meant no one tried it...lol. Scroll back a couple of pages before Mike's Tune. Try that and see how it works and let me know. I'm curious to see if my tunes work for anyone else because other people's tunes usually don't work for me.
