Blue.....have you met DesertPenguin? Never mind.
It's too bad you treat the game like a game. I have found it's a great way to be social while not having to go anywhere. At my age, I don't like going out very much and can count on one hand how many really close friends I have. I have gotten to know so many people by racing that I have never met in person and that's just fine. It's too bad you don't get more serious, you are a fast guy on the track and with a decent wheel, who knows, it might become more than just a game.

DP and I are both clearly Aspies, that's one thing we have in common. But yes I have been posting too much. I'll go back to normal and I only post for livery selections.

Cool. The night was cool. It was fun and it was cool. Except for a couple bugs here and there. Fords with hydraulics, mini nuke landmines not withstanding, I thought it was cool.

I hope everyone else had a good time and will come back next week.

Hey guys,
I'm not quite ready to go full throttle into a racing series again yet, but I'd like to join the fun in the Renault Alpine LeMans race night as long as I'm not stepping on anyone's toes or stealing anyone's place.

Absolutely no worries if not. I plan on getting back in full swing in the months to come, especially after PC2 rolls out!

Thanks,
Hobbs

Your in dude! Glad to have ya back! You should think about knockout night as well, it will be a blast!

You guys are gonna hate me, well more than you already do. I spent the afternoon getting paid to set these up and play ProjectCARS.

They are a pair of RSeats, t500s, buttkickers and a full sound system.

They had been testing in a previous location for an event and had to move them. The contest is using the Ginetta G40 at Laguna Seca. I knocked 3 seconds off the top lap time.

I also got access to the data coming out of PC, and holy crap! There is over 100 fields coming out of the game every hundredth of a second.

Its amazing how much is being processed and broadcast. Playing for 3 hours will produce almost a GB worth of data.

Only 3 ? You sand bagger !! :cheers::bowdown::lol::lol:

Haha it was with all assists off, wrong FOV and using the clutch/shifter for the first time. I told them if they let me set things up I can knock another 2 seconds off at least.:lol::lol:

I don't think these guys realize how much I play this game. My goal is to be so fast that they wont let me put up a laptime at the conference.

Also, the RSeat is sooo nice. :boggled: I got the wants really bad. I told them if they want to give me a spot bonus for all my help they can just ship me one of those.

I may have misspoke, I did some laps on my rig and the best I could do was about another second, 1:41.7. If you guys want to play along I would be interested to hear what times you can do. One of you guys has to be able to pull off a 1:40.

Ginetta G40, Laguna Seca, Clear, noon, real assists, completely stock tune.

They are gonna run it in solo mode.

Is there a certain number of laps allowed for the contestants or can they do as many as they want?

Ok gang tonight we wrap up 20th SRM series , this will be the last series we do on pcars 1. As soon as pcars2 hits our consoles we will pick it right back up from there 👍. We have 2 more planned nights yet , and some casual nights after this series so were not done just yet, so dont run away to fast, still plenty of fun to be had! See everyone tonight!!!

SRM 20th Series

This is our 20th pCars series as SRM! Pretty cool huh? It will also likely be our last in Project Cars before we asses what series will come after in Project Cars 2! Thanks to all who made it possible to get this far. To the future!

Ford Escort RS1600 vs. Sauber C9 Mercedes
Drivers will pick one livery / number of each car. Each car can be used 3 times each. It is up to the driver to determine which car you want to drive, and in which race. Keep in mind, it might be worthwhile to try and pick the lesser used car for higher overall point placement.

This is a 2-Class series with a SINGLE overall winner. You will race in either of the 2 selected cars against the others in your class. Points will be scored as separate classes per race, but the race totals will be put up against all other drivers, with a single champion crowned. Because the points grid will have 2 winners per race, to vary the points totals, 1 bonus point will be awarded for each position gained during a race within each drivers class. Sandbaggers will be sacked.

Tracks selection per week includes one long and one medium length track to accommodate both vehicles strengths and weaknesses.

:gtpflag:

Argh could taste victory in that race at Donington, just needed a few more laps. No idea how I got within 2 secs of the lead (7 after the pit stop) after spinning out 3 or 4 times before pitting. Don't know why I didn't try hard tires though before that last run. I should've been using them the whole time.

Wish I could've had hard tires on the Escort, I could've sworn that thing was FWD, massive understeer and terminal front tire wear at all times. Had my first flat tire ever in the race at Silverstone on the last lap.

Great job to everyone in the different cars for seemingly avoiding major incidents despite the major difference in speed, seemed like everyone held their line most of the time.

:banghead:Dang it:banghead:

Sorry guys, Mother Nature fooked me this time. It got crazy here, apparently I should have been in the basement because of a tornado situation :scared:. My dogs were going postal as well, so new something was up. My rig is not grounded because i have an old house with outdated electric in some rooms , the lighting was the most amazing show tonight, freakishly close though!

I hope you guys had fun, i know i did crashing all the way through spa race one ,see you guys next week 👍

I was taking real easy after I passed ipecac. It was a fun race though.

You ever get invited out for dinner to someone's house and then feel like a captive? That's where I was tonight. A very nice older couple had a few people over for dinner. Dinner at 6:30 turned out to be salad at 8:30, Barfy cold soup served at 9:00, and over cooked spaghetti at 9:30. I am grateful to the kind folks who invited me, but to sit for 2 hours talking about designer clothes and shoes and everything that doesn't interest me in the least was killing me. Now it's 10:30 at night, I'm too full, I'm bitchy for missing racing tonight and having to listen to a gay guy describe his firkin shoe closet. Really, he says he has a closet just for shoes and the cheapest pair is about 400$.........I don't think I have spent 400$ in my lifetime on shoes. See Colts....... he has money and he's looking for an Irish Canadian boy toy, I told him all about you, he will even pay for your move. Just kidding, shut up. . He could be your sugar daddy. On top of that, they had an Abba cd playing over and over. Listen to Dancing Queen three or four times in a row, I dare ya. Shoot me now.
I wasn't too upset missing tonight though, both cars do not like me in the least. Next to Colts's Zonda, which sucked, these cars suck too.........for me, anyway.

Want to thank everyone who was a part of tonight, the series, and every series we've done. Thank you for supporting us up to this point, capping off our 20th Series! Always a blast, always great battles and great driving. This was probably the favorite series I've done, even though I took myself out of contention at every corner. Hope everyone else had fun and liked the format. Project Cars 2 should bring a sequel series I'd assume.

Congrats to @mexxifrieboy on the hard fought series victory!

We're not done with pCars1 yet! Next week is the Renault Alpine Enduro, and the following week will be the Knockout Night! Can't wait to share the track with you fine fellas again.
