My first impressions in no order.....

-Graphics dont seem to be as good as pcars 1
-love that you can make changes in the options menu from race lobby, huge upgrade there!!
-online gameplay is lacking for now, last night was a constant battle of getting kicked, or freezing up :banghead:
-Eh Team is still fast, what a :censored:er!
-Mexi still screams
-new cars and tracks make me feel
-game chat got slightly better, maybe
-no keyboard usage yet 👎
-physics feel ok, but saving the car is still a full time job it seems, definitely not as good as AC in this department
-using the wheel seems perfect from the start, no wheel glitches yet

Closing statement.... I never expected this game to be fully ready on release, none of these games have ever been in my opinion. So we all know there will be a billion patches that will come out, and then we will have new problems to deal with, but at the same time they will fix things as well. It will be a struggle for a bit, but when i woke up this morning, i couldn't wait to get back on the game and keep playing around with settings and stuff. Its like crack I guess, its bad but ya need more .

Agreed about the graphics, they're much worse, but that's not surprising considering the amount of cars and tracks. It's like GT2 was a downgrade graphically from the first Gran Turismo but had more of everything. Agreed about pretty much everything else, other than the handling, on a controller the difference is HUGE, this game drives nothing like the first game. I'm not sure if it's an improvement either, it feels way too easy. The car felt glued to the track, the only time the car ever felt like it wanted to spin was under braking or if it touched the grass or curbs. That's why I was so fast, I could drive super hard all the time with no risk of anything happening where it seemed like you guys were fighting the cars more, so maybe the controller is an advantage at this point? I was driving with ABS only as usual (in the 300ZX it didn't even seem like that was working). Also agree with most of the complaints last night about the HUD being a big step backwards. They should've just left it completely unchanged from the first game. The menus everywhere else are way better though. But did you guys notice that the estimation of how many laps your fuel load will last is gone in all the menus? So now it seems like you have to practice and calculate your own fuel economy.

I'm sure the online stuff will be fixed at some point, hopefully quickly, and I'm sure as usual a bunch of new problems will be added as well.

Oh yeah the fuel ratio to laps is missing? I forgot that in my post, also the function to run the dash app is not there as well? So yeah lets hope all this is fixed soon!

I should be on in about an hr if anyone want to tool around a bit?

I despised the game chat. Some of you had turned down your chat volume to hear the cars engines, but I dont have that option, so when we went to game chat alot of you ended up being a few clicks too loud. I already max'd out the sound settings, hopefully they make it louder.
In a party it makes it a little too quiet too, but i think you can change a setting in there for that?

But it would be cool if you could click on peoples names and instead of muting them just turn their voices doon a bit (or up)

Day 2 impressions.....

Had a great session this morning just floating around the game learning things, trying new tracks and cars :D. Then I linked up with Eh and Colts for a bit, later Lobban and Mexi joined and it was the same as last night :banghead:. As you get more people in your group the more the problems seem to be present . So if your just chillin have a goodtime by yourself it seems fine, add online lobbies and prepare to want to do this :banghead:.

I was looking for the option where anybody can pick any car they want, but I couldn't find it. I was pretty sure it was there before, but if it's not thank 🤬. I hated joining rooms that said GT4 GT5 etc and somebody was driving around in an F.A or something

My view this weekend.

Dear Mphile, Would you be interested in making a "Track Day" Night? (1 Track, different cars) To go along with things like the endurance night or knockout night, etc Just a suggestion, It would get boring doing the same track though... just a suggestion.

Ok gang, day 3 was much better for pcars2! Mexi was hosting a lobby, and we didn't get kicked at all, the races were smooth minus when guys come in and out of the rooms :banghead:(that lag). So all that said tomorrow will be a casual format for the whole night :D. I need practice setting up rooms, changing settings stuff like that, so I apologize in advance if you get multiple invites throughout the nite:scared:. I will be on around 7:30ish est, and then we can go till whenever, come and go as you please, nothing is for points, just all for fun .

Added:We will do all kinds of weather, new tracks, new cars, open class racing, rally cars, one makes, night time/day time races! I want to cover a bunch of stuff, lets just hope the lobbies hold!

If you haven't ran with us for a bit and want to try and get in shoot me a message, or post up on this thread your coming. A lot of guys coming back with a new game, so its hard for me to remember everyone. Also if your ps4 name is different than your :gtplanet: name, please refresh my memory of that, like i said hard for me to remember everyone 💡.

See everyone tomorrow night

The only problem I find is inviting people, but if there's time somebody can back out and rejoin and invite them, Or set a password (Apparantly its a code, we cant set it to colts... MEXI. And please turn off that ready up crap/ those dumb formations laps.. Aka the "cool your tires down while some idiot f's it up for everyone" Do what you want though ladies

Ive already decided on some of this stuff for Tuesday night...

No damage- because you cant get car fixed up in pits?

No rolling starts-because it is a jumpy mess

Ready up off- this way we don't freeze up before the race by not getting in the race on time, plus it auto starts the race for us!

Cool dune laps off- because i haven't tested what its like, plus we don't really need it, i dont think?

Haven't messed with a password room yet, but private will work for us, but I guess we can do a password for each week and guys can just show up when they get on?

Still things to learn/mess with, thats what we will work on in the next week or so.

Added: but i do think we will run our leagues with our ranking and scoring turned on, hopefully this keeps people more honest about their driving?

I was going to say we should run with the ranking system on because it's a lot easier to get our ranking and "safety rating" built up racing against each other than it is by going into public lobbies

Let's try out the password in lieu of invites, because guys were having some issues. We can post the password in SRM Race Control.

Agreed on running with the ratings on.

Is it just me or has Colts been recently communicating and offering suggestions in a manner which is coherent and thought provoking ?👍

The side effect of his new found lucidity, His driving has greatly improved.:bowdown::cheers::cheers:👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Could you not 🤬 in my cornflakes please?

Also Mphile the cool dune lap is just like assetto corsa, until everyones finished you just keep driving ; I dont know if wrecking the crap out of each other during this period counts towards our points or not though, lets hope not... nothing like seeing a car go 40 feet in the air.

:gtpflag:Casual Night :gtpflag:

Ok guys tonight is the first installment of pcars2 with SRM :D. Tonight will be casual, random, and unpredictable . I need a good solid evening of setting up lobbies, changing settings, and re-mapping some buttons so I feel comfortable for the first official SRM event next Tuesday (more on that later!). I will be on early tonight because i have my button layout all jacked up :banghead:, once i get that fixed i will start cranking the rooms up! No need to be on time, you guys can come and go as needed. I think we will attempt the password portion of the game tonight, so i will try and have that posted in the ps4 chat when we begin. Hope to see everyone tonight !!!

P.s. Tonight we will have the rankings turned on, so please be kind the best you can to each other! This way we can grown our rankings as a unit!

Added: i will be sticking with ps4 chat tonight, so im sure we will have 2 rooms going, just find a spot and drop in, or create your own up to you? Its just to hard to here what's going on with 15 other guys yelling back and forth, then to turn up turn down i cant hear you, can you hear me?

We had 25 valid bugs, 5 of them 'strong'. I know it can seem more when you get constant repeats in a bug thread or a lot of feature requests listed as bugs but it really is that low. It's the best we've done since GTR2.

We've fixed most of these already internally and will be shipping them out very soon in patches.
there is hope in the near future.

Im not sure if it works or not but, next week once mphile sends out the invites, someone send him one back so, if he disconnects he should have an invite to get back in. Theoretically.
Of course this is if you can actually invite the host.. ill try it later and report my conclusions.
You cant go through Sgeti's (or anyone else) profile unless you already had an invite or its public, that's why that worked for mexxi but not mphile.

Also i might not even be there next Tuesday, just noticed its my Dads birthday then.
which reminds me ; Happy Belated Birthday to Eh Team!
