SSR Day variant in GT6?

I have no idea how to do it. When I bought the game it was normal, but since last year everytime I go on that track it's day time. I can't play on the night version anymore. All the other night tracks are fine, this only happens on that one.

I can do a video of it later, if you guys want.

Waiting for the video then 👍 This deserves a thread actually.

Wow, every day you learn something new! 👍
I never thought we could see a day version of the SSR track!
(Even it's just a bug. :P)

Look forward to seeing it in action.

I'm surprised that "SSR5 Daytime" glitch hasn't happen to anyone. I'm for once very excited to see if it's true. I might actually use that track for once if it works.

...still a bit doubtful though...

This video shows a daytime variant of SSR5 in a GT2 demo. What do you guys think of it?

Your link wasn't showing - I removed the "v=" and it's okay now.

EDIT: Tree'd by a minute...

EDIT 2: I'm only seeing a dusk variant, pretty much as it is now.

They would have to create a full couple of blocks 360 degrees around it to create a day version. Seems to me there's better ways to spend time modelling tracks.

For SSR7 they'd need 12 km of scenery each side of the motorway, looking into the distance, because it's a raised track. Huge pile of work to create it up to PD-standards.

I bet this is possible. In gt5 there's a bug that let you play on a day version of Clubman Stage. And it looks beautiful.

If it's not real, it's a good fake. For Clubman Stage and SSR5 that would mean less work than expected...

I stand by what I said about SSR7 though. (although the scenery would be spectacular whatever they would choose)

Here's the video (starts at 1:05):

Don't mind the bad driving, I was trying to show the track and keep the camera on focus at the same time. lol

👍 Dude, what the hell? It's true! sorry I doubted you. That's amazing! Looks kinda strange and the street lights are on, but judging the fact that the car has its lights off makes it very authentic. And I agree with A_Higher_Place; it looks like it's near 5:45 or barely passed 6:00am.

Do you know how this happened? I've never read anyone having this glitch, or seen it before.

Yeah, the lights of the buildings are turned on too.

And I have no idea how it happened. It must have been one of last year's updates.

Heres another pic:

Wow, that glitch looks better than I expected a day time SSR5 to look. I guess all the lights on makes everything look a bit better. Also, I think they cars might be a bit shinier than they would in a normal day track?

Anyway, I didn't realise they had modeled so much back ground scenery. I'm now thinking that at least some of the SSR tracks could fairly easily have a day night cycle added. Here's hoping! It seems like their main reason not to would be the heritage of the tracks always being night in previous games.

I tried playing around with the track selection and options, but as I expected, I wasn't able to replicate this glitch. You were very lucky.

Both of those picture are out dated
The track no longer has that texture and that car had a LOD glitch ( fixed).. LOD wont exist in GT6 as tessellation is now taking in * basically a more advanced LOD*

You're correct, but I feel that I have to point out that Tessellation doesn't "fix" textures or even low poly models for that matter. They still have to be redone in the case of textures or have poly's added for the models by the artists. Tessellation doesn't make higher quality content, it's just a better way of scaling higher quality content down than having multiple LOD's.

The unknown is whether PD will actually spend time redoing all standard car textures and modifying the meshes and to what standard these will be done to. We have heard blanket statements which point to it being the case, but we still have no idea of the quality they will be redone to.

Also, while a bit of a troll post (obviously), Kake's point does stand. In 2010, this was a standard that PD were apparently happy with. So to say 'to PD's standards' isn't exactly clear cut. Some things they have certainly been happy to sacrifice in the past and to this day even. Personally I think it's more of a case of if they can't get everything done to their highest standards, they won't do any work to it at all, but these days still feel the pressure to add more content so include it anyway. They set the bar too high for GT5, and because of poor planning, had to couple the extremely overdone content with horrible last gen content just to have the sheer numbers they thought they needed. I think with GT6 they are looking to reach a compromise and are planning things a bit better (hiring more staff). The Premiums are still ultra premium, but I'm sure some of the extra staff they've hired are focusing just on upscaling the standards. With the GT5 mindset they would have thought that's a waste because it would mean x amount less premiums. But perhaps some of the new modelers they hired aren't experienced enough to do premiums just yet - upscaling standards would be a great learning process for them.

Seeing as how we could only change the Standard cars' paint, utilize three generic spoilers (and the wheels after a painstakingly tedious and time-consuming process of individually going to nearly every Standard car to fit the alternate wheels so that a select wheel will look natural on every one of the cars - with some faults, justifiably) in GT5 and not even the hoods since the Standard cars were technically just one shell with lines drawn on it, we'll be able to customize any of the cars this time around, so they'll all be significantly better looking than what they were in GT5.

Kaz did point out, "We won’t be making all the Standard cars from GT5 into Premium models, and we won’t make all of the GT5′s Standard cars fully “Premiumized”.

Up until now, we used to categorize them as Standard and Premium because there were functional differences between them: some of the Standard models might not have tuning parts, or couldn’t be used in Photo Mode. That will all be cleared so every model can be used in Photo Mode, and every car can have parts fitted for it.

In terms of graphics quality, the bad quality Standard models we’ve updated so they look better."

After reading that every car can have parts fitted for them, we can only assume the statement about not all Standard cars being fully Premiumized means that some/a lot of those cars will be noticeably better looking than others. There were pictures from a GT6 trailer in a thread that showed GT5's Standard cars and they didn't have that shell looking exterior. Yet, we can only guess when they made that trailer and imagine how much further they can visually improve those models.

Standards could be much better if all the wheel rims were circular and if the head lights and head lamps weren't layered sprites. Now lets get back on topic!

Damn. I totally forgot this was the SSR5 Day thread. Still, it's not like there's going to be a revelation about it doing getting this track on a normal basis by coordinating ideas on how to do it. I wish though.

Or it could be a modeled interior.
Before he said "fully Premiumized", he says they won't be making all of the Standards into Premium models. Means there's gonna be a good number of cars without cockpit views (since the only difference between them in GT5 that was always used to differentiate them was the interiors) and since we can fit custom parts to any car now, it doesn't mean that some of the Standards will remain as useless (to some) as they are now.

Still speculation until we ultimately see or hear what the differences will be. Can't forget what happened with the Standard/Premium shocker months before GT5 released.

Highway glitch?

If you do ssr5 reverse, go into pits where you come out, sit under the highway and go ghost from 10 seconds. You'll transport above into the highway and your can drive around.
