standard cockpit view is wrong

I love GT PSP solution

in case... some Standard car in GT5 right may no mirrors because this locate on the Hood.

Also... Standard car in Rainy condition may hard to seen because they have no Wipers to sweep the rain drops out.

that should do some improvement...

I agree... I really hope PD work on that... add the wipers and some other small details like the PSP versions...

My advice: send messages about it on Kaz twitter... I already did this.

for me this is the most annoying car with cockpit view in gt5 :ouch::yuck:

it feels wrong driving the gt one without hood, when you hit other cars its like you are in a ghost car :ouch:

Firstly- I am extremely glad to have standard in-car views don't get me wrong.

However... The lack of exterior in standards "grinds my gears" a bit.

I wish I could sit in at some PD meetings and hear the reasons behind some of their odd choices.

I imagine it going one of two ways:

Programmer: Kazanori-san, adding the hoods of standard cars is going to be problematic due to coding issues.
Kaz: Well we'll just have to leave it out for now until we have time to tackle this issue.

-or-

Programmer: I could add those hoods it standard cars interior views but its almost lunchtime.
Kaz: F--- it, I'm hungry now. Leave it out until people complain.

I assume it's the first one.

In some cars you can't see hood even in cockpit. If you play F1 games on driver cockpit not TV cockpit then it should not be too much problem. Anyhow, it just requires some practice but if they add hood it will be good ;)

In some cars and some games hood is not visible like this video from shift:

Something that could be fixed with some standards is if there is a premium version of a car, why can't the standard version have to same premium cockpit?

Example, there are R32, R33 and R34 premium Skylines so why don't all the R32, R33 and R34 standard Skylines have proper cockpits?

I know there will be small detail differences between models, but I'd rather have a proper cockpit with a dial in the wrong place than just a black standard cockpit.

It is a bit weird and I do wish they'd make the exteriors visible even if they do look a bit crusty.

It doesn't really bother me that much when driving however, but then agaim I'm quite used to not being able to see the hood in my real car anyway. Still miles better than bumper/firewall cam.

yeah....you DO realise you can't see the hood in the GT5 premium R34 either!! So maybe Shift got it right there. or GT5 got it wrong as well, either way bad example.
