I would gladly pay for a premium Countach. But I agree we need more variety and more modern cars. Zonda Cinque, Lamborghini Diablo, Koenigseggs, Bentleys, etc. Also, current DTM models.

If they can update the standards for GT6, that's great, but only if that doesn't delay or hampers the creation of new premiums.

Don't forget that... shall we say "creatively edited" 40-second video that they released and promptly buried under all of their E3 news.

I'm usually up to date on all news related to this genre, and especially for GT5 I (thought) saw all the videos. Apparently not. Just youtubed it and I never seen that video before!!

Talk about brushing it under the carpet!

I'm pretty sure the standard cars video was at the front page of GTplanet and there was a big discussion in the forums. It was hardly unknown to the community. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to defend them or anything but that video most definitely wasn't a secret or something.

You might argue that they should have shown it sooner, but no developer would make big announcements of things that make their game worse to the eyes of general public.

I must have missed it. I know there was tons of discussion between standard vs premium, and it continued after launch as a lot of the differences in quality and features were only known after but when Tornado mentioned it, and I went googling was the first time I saw that video.

About the missing city tracks, maybe... PD is taking the time to remodel them from scratch (or upgrading) with the new construction and development of '12/'13....... or not.

I feel PD should only remodel (into premium) the best performing or sufficiently different models of each generation of standard cars. (New engine or pre and post facelifts.)

E.g. Add a '97 1.8 NA Eunos roadster and leave the other trim levels of NAs as standard. Also only include home market versions of the car with exceptions like the popular US S13/14 240SX since it has a very different engine. EU cars are LHD, JDM cars have the different name and are RHD etc.

A bit like Forza's or Enthusia's method of car selection I suppose. (Would also love random cars like a Smart, an Alphard and a G-wagen instead of many similar variations of a NA MX5.)

P.S. I would not have paid for the Jag racer if it was alone. I weirdly prefer roadies to racers.
