A waste of resources, though. They could have easily reused the Premium R33 GT-R bodyshell with a few tweaks and it would have looked even better.

This is what I can't understand for the life of me: if PD is really intent on having that many variations of the same car, why not take the pre-existing premium R33 GT-R and duplicate it like 15 times? The exterior is exactly the same in almost all cases, most of the small differences are in under the hood and even then the player is likely to never notice a discrepancy in performance. Think of how many more premiums we could have! :confused:

EDIT: Thinking about it some more, the only reason I could come up with is that PD believes the performance of the game would suffer if there were 16 premiums on track at once. And I know GT5 Prologue did it, but add weather effects and a day/night cycle and I suppose it could be an issue.
 
Possibly the best updated standard I've seen yet. Gives the RUFs, RS200, and R390 a run for their money.
 
Love the "Safari Rally" banner on the car! :drool: All these semi-premiums make me happy!

I'd love to see the Mitsubishi Starion! Anybody got it? :)
 
I am wondering why PD has decided to keep some standard cars, even when there is an exact same premium version of it.

Has the 71 Charger Super Bee been touched up?
It is one of my favourite cars of all time and it looked very poor in GT5.

The Super Bee unfortunately hasn't, the other Charger has been though and it looks great.


I took some more pics of the RUF RGT and the Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. Both are looking great. The RUF's are definately the best though.

Not sure if it was posted, but the 04 GTO doesn't look too hot. Better, but not as big an upgrade as I was hoping for.
