Dear god this is atrocious.

Yeah, not a very nice car either :P

I'm solidly in "keep the Standards" camp. Many of my favorite cars are still oogly Standards.

As long as the Peugeot 106 S16 is a standard I forbid PD to get rid of them.

I'm not so sure I'd miss many other cars though. I had my share of fun with them in GT5, but now when there's no shuffle racing (so far?) it feels like they lost some of their appeal.

You quoted @Custom878, who said 800 cars in reference to the standards. By saying "dump the cars", you are explicitly referring to the 800 standards he spoke of.
lol no
His reply implied there are too many cars for them to get to them all.
My reply was meant to imply they should dump the ones they didn't touch.
If I wanted to say get rid of all standards, I would have, like I've done numerous times before.

I sure hope this stuff is fixed by the time GT7 comes to the PS4. I cannot imagine.. :yuck:

I own a 4th gen. Legacy in real life and I'm very disappointed with how awful they look in GT6. So much, that I don't even want to drive them. The windows on those models look terrible as well.

OUCH! That's real pain in the eye!
Didn't get the chance to explore many cars just yet, so that's my first time seeing such an ugly looking Legacy in GT6! :scared: PD seriously need to work on these jaw-dropping cars in the coming updates. There's no way a so-called perfectionist could let a product with this quality to roll out to consumers' hands. 👎

Umm...
...cause they're not perfectly fine.
In terms of being a car and working, which is what this game is about, they are. I care more about there being cars than having a handful that are in super quality.

Exactly my opinion 👍

When driving (which is the most important part for me in GT6) i dont care for the detailed looks of the cars. Its about how the car i drive performs, and to replicate that you dont need smooth textures and so on.

Sure, if all cars would be premium oder at least semi premium it would be nicer to watch replays and take pictures but i would never want PD to take the standards out just because of their dated looks!

The other models don't look as bad as that. I'm surprised they didn't fix it (to the level of the other Legacys), but it's clearly something they're getting around to - some have been tweaked, others haven't (yet?)

Honestly, I'm disappointed (although impressed by their technique) that they're pandering to such superficial demands by messing with the meshes and re-texturing the cars outright, though. Despite the obvious improvements in some cases, there are others that are too in-progress not to attract the usual derision (so they're totally ineffective at combating the superficial tastes). They also still lack interior views (which is surely too difficult to "tack on" in the same way?). Can't win, again.

In light of that, I think they ought to have left the Standards as they were and focused on making Premiums from scratch - it should be more efficient that way. Maybe it was only a short-lived experiment, for scientific purposes.

Ironic that people demanding more now will actually be getting less in the long run, but that's just how people work, I guess - can't see the wood for the trees (or don't care). :D

Auto Union is very very very very very very very very very very ugly 👎

PoDi added 2 standard for GT6 but they are not semi premium.... It's useless!
