No BMW doesnt seem to be upgraded at all.Old textures. But the FTO is like a premium :)

Maybe over optimistic but I think they are patching all the Standards to semi premium qulity already! :P

One of my friends has GT6 and here are some photos from BMW 330i. I dont know how was it in GT5, but its very nice in GT6:

are you being sarcasm?

they look kinda... standard standard to me. maybe im just looking too closely.

It can't flash, reverse lights don't work.

They are under the SRT brand, I checked all cars there and those that aren't Premiums haven't been improved.

By the way, I still have to go to the XMB menu to export images to an USB storage drive. I can't do that directly from GT6...

stones on the background without a doubt are premium)))

330 is the same. An easy way to reckognise the semi-premiums or whatever are the independant panels, wipers ,wheel arches and ofcourse new hd textures

Has anyone looked at the 2005 Mustang GT? Besides the rear bumper (which is wrong on the 2007, unless that is some weird Asian/European market thing) it is 100% the exact same car as the 2007 and wouldn't be hard to make premium, and literally copy the premium 100% with just upgrading the rims the 2005 has

It would interest me if the Citroén 2CV was updated too, I drove that thing quite a lot in GT5. It's a blast on the ring.

There. I fixed it for you.

On a more serious note, the BMW 330i looks awful. I wish more cars would've gotten the same treatment as the FTO - which is by far the best and most acceptable looking (non open-wheel) standard car I've so far seen.

That's incidentally one of the last cars I checked out yesterday and it did look updated/Semipremium.

This is the last list from me for the time being, as I have returned the PS3 running a copy of GT6 to the friend who lent it to me for a day. Please somebody else continue the work I made so far. For example, I think I remember Vauxhall having the same upgraded cars as Opel, but I can't verify that anymore before including them to the list. I also think I misspelled some exact RX-7 model names (there were way so many I was taking shortcuts in order to add them but then ended up doing a few small mistakes).

I am glad to see so many standards being improved, I love the changes and they definitely look hell a lot smoother! Too bad for the black cockpits though. Well, truth be told, when I'm racing I don't actually see the cockpit that much, so it isn't so bad for me personally. The cockpit seems to blur away for me, so I don't actually see it all that much.

GT6 is looking better and better for me despite what many people (have a right to) say. I'm going to enjoy this game to it's fullest until GT7 comes out and it's time for me to move on to PS4. Can't wait 'till friday!

Not even close? Are you kidding me? It looks fantastic. Even if GT models are better, and they probably are, it's very close in quality from that photo.
I think you're dazzled by the quality of the render including its image quality.
The GT6 car models are much more complex.

You're right. Except that the standards in GT5 were awful.

I'm sure a punch in the face feels great when you compare it to being stabbed in the heart.

Actually, that's not fair. Some of the new standards do look pretty good. But they're still noticeably inferior to premiums, and they still lack some "features" compared to premiums.

They're not PS3 cars. They're still shiny PS2 cars.
True enough, but would you rather be stabbed in the heart twice, or just punched in the face? I still think they look pretty damn good, it may not be premium quality just yet, but it looks good enough. And at least they drive and handle like they do in real life, and look like they should. Not a perfect incarnation mind you, but at least it got touched up. And they even touched up the dashboards! That should count for something :P
