Steering Wheel OR Controler ?

Which of you are using Steering Wheels or Dualsense in GT7 ?

Dualsense here but really tempted by a wheel.

Be intrigued to know how many are using a wheel actually. Assumed a controller to be a disadvantage during PvP online which is what is preventing me from playing Sport so far; worse still I use X and Square as opposed to the triggers which is sure to be hindering me (especially where modulation is required for cornering etc.) Just too damn used to the ingrained comfort of X and Square

I also play with the Dualsense Controler. I think with a (good)steering wheel you will have much more better control.
I don't know if i am right with my thinking.

Dualsense here..controller since PS1..my friends have a really nice wheelsetup at home, but also if I drive some days in a row with the wheel, I cant beat my controllertimes..ps: golded everything in GT7

That means then with Steering Wheel you not in advantage.

DualSense here. Had a G29 for one summer (borrowed) for GT Sport. Was DR: B. Now started with GT7 and i am a DR: B as well.

Wheel makes you more stable and consistent.

I've got a Fanatec DD Pro wheel with load cell brake.

Occasionally use the dualsense with triggers for accel/braking.

I tested this in Dragon Trail Seaside in Nations.

Controller was 1:45.3
Wheel (G29) was 1:43.1

If I could just get the same brake pedal feel in my wheel as I get from the dualsense I reckon I could shave another second off

As a beginner I used to play some AC and GT5 on my Logitech Driving GT set before losing interest in the genre. Are entry level wheels these days a huge upgrade over that?

Both, but mostly wheel; I'm smoother on a wheel but sometimes I just want a quick game and therefore just use controller.

Thrustmaster T150 “Ferrari” wheel and T3PA pedals, although I can drive to a high degree with a control pad.
I prefer the wheel though, it’s much more immersive and rewarding.

I had that and yes the G29 wheel is much better - gear shifters (not paddles) are worse though

No FFB on the CSL pedals.

Both. I use the wheel when the ps is in the man cave, controller when it’s in the living room.

I only have experience with a T300 and T-GT no game pad. GT7 With the T-GT with load cell has better FFB and lets me learn the difference in car handling and tracks in less time. I can not say it makes me faster but I do not have to finish first to have a good race.

I use both. Wheel when I can bring the rig out to the living room and play since no one else is home. Controller for a quick session late at night. Both have their advantages. From what I've experienced, controller is really fast, but wheel is far smoother. Controller is obviously lighter, and wheel is a workout. It seems to be pretty even in the end, based on your comfort level with each.

Wheel mostly, but also use controller sometimes when grinding with the Tomahawk or for the daily ticket.

Both. Wheel takes a while to get setup. So if I got time, I'll move it and unfold it. But usually if I'm getting a quick game in, it's the controller.

If you can afford it buy a GT franchise Wheel set up it will make the difference in your online racing in competition with other drivers when racing in Sony events. This is my opinion not verified by people who participate .

Both depending on what I want to do in game. I have a TrakRacer TR8 Pro sim cockpit and a Logitech G923 so sometimes hauling the rig out is just not something I want to do if I just want to get in my daily miles.

I have the G923 and I believe you can only do PC & PS OR PC & XBox. Maybe some of the direct drive units out there can support this scenario though, but I have not looked.
