No, you can enter using a DS3. Lots of people have successfully qualified for the finals with a DS3 in previous GT Academy events.

Yes when GTA starts and u will hear about it, you will go to the PS Store and download it as a demo... or it may be in the game in the Seasonal events tab.

I think you had to download it last time because GT6 wasn't out yet and they wanted to use the new game physics.
