Renault Laguna Super Touring car BTCC 1998 - Jason Plato

Complete rework of one of my earliest livery attempts to see how my livery creating has progressed since being a complete novice 3 and a half months ago. Car was chosen because it's one of my all time favourite racing liveries and to see if a big difference would show on the simplest of liveries.

Differences include:

Livery now based on Jason Plato's 1998 car rather than the #37 Laguna that runs in historic Super Touring events.
Special paint colour that's more like the real car.
More accurate decals.
Missing decals created and added.
Wheels are closer to the real ones.
Correct number font.
Driver name on rear windows.

And the 1998 version of Anthony Reid's Primera BTCC

Car is basically a rework of the Primera livery R34 I did months ago.

Differences are:

Car is based on the 1998 Primera rather than the 1999 version.
Main decal created with Photoshop rather than by using GT Sport standard shapes put together as I did on the R34.
Correct decals for the 1998 car.
Missing decals created and added.
1999 car decals removed.
Correct number font.

Derek Warwick's 1995 Alfa Romeo 155 BTCC Super Touring livery.

Livery isn't 100% accurate. The original car's yacht logo is different and searches brought up photos far to small to use so I used a newer version, as it's not actually an Alfa 155 I'm not too fussed about it. A few logo's are missing and a few moved mostly due to the difference in the two cars shapes and size.

I’m amazed by the ever-growing quality of your liveries.
The Singha Ferrari is jaw-dropping.

Thanks mate. Just a pity I couldn't use two special colours on it, I had to do the chrome decals in a light grey so I could use the special blue paint for the car, a bit frustrating we can't use special paint on the decals but it turned out okay.

Mazda RX-7 GTP livery competition 08 entry minus the mandatory Sunday Cup number plates and bigger and better pics. Not usually a style of car I would bother with as I generally keep my liveries as real world race replicas and I wasn't even going to bother sharing it but I think it's turned out okay so it's now shared.

I kept it pretty simple to tie in with my interpretation of the competition theme, a track day car. Went for an RE-Amemiya theme as they're probably the best known tuners of rotary engine Mazdas (the RE in RE-Amemiya actually stands for Rotary Engine) so it was a natural choice.

As for actually creating it it was fairly straightforward, a gold liquid metallic special paint base and masks easily created in Photoshop and converted in Illustrator. A white car with gold decals was my choice as soon as I decided to enter the competition and it looks nicely subtle in race replays which again suits the competition theme. Gold wheels were pretty much a given and again it was decided from the start and I didn't even bother to try any other colours.

Carbon fibre texture decals used on the bonnet, splitter, wing mirrors and spoiler, credit goes to @BLiTZ as the carbon decal I used is his creation and the bonnet and spoiler rounded off with RE-Amemiya decals which are usually white on RE-Amemiya tuned cars but to keep the car as low profile as possible for the competition I went with black with the idea that you can't really see it unless you're looking for it or the lighting is bright.

One other small addition is the Japanese licence plates which suggests that this car is driven to and from the track and to emphasize further that this is not a race car which is also the reason that there's no kill switch, extinguisher or tow hook decals on the car.
