If we allow changes in brake bias, I think there would be:
(11 + 10 + 9 + 8 + 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1) x 2 - 11 =
121 versions of a car.

ah thats right, both 0 and 10 are included so there are 11 levels arent there? silly me...:embarrassed:

car with BB of 3-4 might be no different than one with 4-5, but a:10-5, b:5-10, c;10-0, d:0-10 are totally different animals where first one might be good for a beginner as it is steady, b would be my choice, c would be nice for Porsche with RS on front and CH on rear lol, d might be nice for a 4wd car that doesnt turn:D

anyway, thanks for clearing things out, i can totally concur with your new rules. TC, ABS and AS are not performance enhancer and just purely driver aids. ASM was to me more of a hindrance than help in GT5 as it saps away your speed, it acts as more of an auto-brake when you going too hot on corners but it braks more than youd like it to. so prohibiting its usage benefits everyone anyway i think.

No, I meant to post in the other Jaguar TT thread. It gets a little confusing when you have two different TT threads for the same car you know. :lol: Happens to me sometimes in real life, I forget where I am. :lol: True, short story for your amusement. I once went to McDonalds drive-thru and ordered a Whopper with cheese. (Burger King) :dunce::lol::lol::embarrassed:

haha ok then that happens to me all the time as well!;)

btw, what i found about BB is that, after i stumbled across, whats his name, praiano or something, brazilian guy's thread that you should start off with 10/10 first with ABS 0, build up speed then slam on brake and front tyres will always lock up first, gradually drop front brake till all 4 tyres lock up at the same time and it'd be somewhere like 3-4/10 thats the most efficient brake bias becuase all 4 tyres share equal load. so as for toyota 86 event with racing brakes i set it at 1/7 to be the best, perhaps 1/8 if you want tad bit more towards the rear.

Stock car, no helps... abs= 0 also...

dfgt wheel, foam mod on brake pedal...

Lots off spinning and high speed crashes... :)

The trick to this gold for me was get the V shape turn right...(4th turn?) and the chicane after that...
I had to do the V turn with 3 gear, other wise it would easily snap and spun...

Also noticed that you have to let the car slide a bit in the U turn and the V turn...

Took me 2h but it was worth of the challenge...

Now after the toyota...
 
At last, I managed gold on the Jaguar XR-S time Trial.
1:16.209. ABS=1 B/B 5/5 (DFGT)

After I had my first try at this on thursday, I checked my jag yesterday, and saw that the body rigidity was turned yellow. It had 723 km`s on the odometer. :confused: (The XR-S was my first "expensive" car that I bought in GT6)

So I decided to use my price car Jag. I think it helped. After 1 hour yesterday, I had lowered my best time to 1:17:017.
Today, I went all serious and went bumper cam. I usually drive in cockpit view.
After 14 laps I got 1:16.519 :grumpy: I did several laps after that, but my ghost line was always a few tenths a head of me. Especially out of the last corner :banghead:.

I was about to call it a night, but decided to turn off the ghost, just to give it a try. On the second lap I did it :P
My favorite track, according to GT6 stats, is now Roma :lol:

Now over to the Toyota GT86...

congratulations!! youve beaten it with a lot of margin:cheers: i dont drive with ghost on all the time as well as it distracts me i only look at on the track map to see if my red arrow is ahead or behind the yellow arrow.
 
XKR-S = 1m17.457 (After 64km on the clock)
86GT = 1m43.259 (Not sure how long I spent, about 20 laps or so)

The Jaguar was just taxing me. Hate the heavy weight and my big bag of talent was empty. I could see several tenths in places but I was not enjoying the drive...

The Toyota was fun but I knew I was aiming at the impossible. I then Rolled the car which I felt was a sign to step away from the car.

I returned to both of them but in heavily modified cars. (A bulimic Jag felt night and day better) (The Toyota I put on some power and a fresh LSD... which made the handling very loose at the back - but on the flat out up hill bits the added grunt made the target time easy.


I did feel very empty for doing this though. But I thought it would get 100% complete... but I was wrong. Still got some paint chips... Pastel tone? Miami Nice.
 
Toyota (15thAE) - 1:39:558 - ABS 1, everything else off, wheel, clutch, gated shifter.
Love the car and the track. Took me more than 2h to gold, 5 laps in the 1:40:0xx

Jaguar - 1:16:495 - ABS 1, everything else off, wheel, paddles.
Hate the car. Massive understeer. Took me half hour to gold.
 
Didn´t manage gold on the 86GT :guilty:
My best time was 1:40.200. I haven´t had too much time to play in the past couple of weeks. But was able to put in about 15 laps on wednesday night.
Oh well, can't win ´em all :irked:
