No i know it's 1.0 because mine has Mark Martin's racing modificationfor the Taurus SHO while 1.1 and 1.2 don't.

Oh yea i remember that track! Never raced on it in GT1 but i did in GT3. Frankly i used to hate it in GT3 because it was so curvey, but that was my opinion a long time ago, i ain't played GT3 in 5 years so i've probly been missing out.:indiff:

Wait, does the Mark Martin Taurus still show as a race mod in Sim mode? because it wasn't removed in any version of the game in arcade mode.

As for SSR11, it is pretty curvy, but that makes the track more of a challenge. A fun challenge, that is :).

In 1.0 it does, but not 1.1 or 1.2. They never really changed the arcade mode since it worked just fine. Yea i think i could agree with that, i guess the only reason i didn't like it was because i had a bad car in a hard race. I really need to play GT3 again!:dopey:

No, I know that, but I was asking if it shows as a race mod on your screen. sorry, I should've been more specific :indiff:. and yes, you should start playing GT3 again, since it was PD's best-selling game for a reason :).

This is pretty stupid question, but what is this SSR11 you speak of?:indiff:
Another thing, This is slightly off topic, but in data transfer, what is that convert feature and what does it do?

Convert function is used to convert your licences from GT1 IIRC.

VERY interesting to see NTSC manual. Many of these pictures are completely changed in game. I have NTSC 1.0, but not manual. So if anybody could scan it with better resolution i would jump sky high :)

In PAL manual there are only one big thing which is odd.
It is the GT1 Gran Turismo mode map used as GT2 GT mode.

EDIT: OK, theres more, will scan it.

Well im alittle confused in what you are asking, but in 1.0, Mark Martin's racing mod is in simulation mode, it's not that generic design used in the later versions. I feel kinda dumb for saying this, but i didn't know GT3 was the best selling GT game PD did. Im not surprised though, going from GT2 to GT3 must have been awesome back then.:) I definitely need to play it again!:)

1.0 never had a manual i don't think, at least mine didn't. I could try photo copying mine and post it here, if i can figure out how.

Huh, that's weird. I heard that ALL of the screenshots were fixed in the PAL version of the game.

I guess not.

It didn't happen because Kaz and the gang weren't able to finish making the Drag mode before the release date, so they had to cut it out of the game. There were a large amount of things cut out due to time restraints. Believe it or not, SSR11 was actually supposed to be in GT2!

The time restraints also explain why the NTSC 1.0 version is unfinished-looking and has a large amount of glitches :).
I was looking in the "Searching for evidence of hidden things" thread and i was reading through it and i read that the reason it was rushed was because they wanted it to be released just before the holidays because they would rake in alot more money since it was the holidays. If they didn't release it by then they would have lost alot of money, but frankly i think they would have been better off delaying it than rushing it.

That's odd, my manual doesn't have this. Mine is the platinum version.

I have both (ok, I had both :D) and I can ensure that the normal version has GT1 screenshots in it, but the platinum one has the GT2 screenshots in it.

Okey i found my game manual for GT2 and mine has these strange screenshots to! I may look through it and see if mine is any different.
