Strategy for 25th anniversary manufacturers cup

I’d like to know why times in my friends list are same as mine (around 25 min for the event) yet they all finished 1st and the best I can muster is 9th after three tries.

What's your difficulty level? Have you tried lowering it?

Normal. I started on ‘Hard’ back in April but lowered it a few months later. I would say the difficulty setting is a good place for me. Win some, lose some. Generally the AI is not too easy or too hard for me.

A week later, still have not golded the Spa race. It’s almost comical. I’m in the middle of trying every single car and used in no particular order:

• Porsche
• Mercedes
• McLaren
• Lexus
• Toyota
• Nissan
• Subaru
• Genesis

Highest finish is 2nd with the Lexus (the lowest PP car of the lot). Other than my Lexus exception, I am always around 25 seconds behind the leader and no strategy or speed can overcome it.

I think my 2nd place finish was luck. All those other finishes are mid pack.

Won it with the Beetle, no rain. Should have known.

Hadn't touched the game in a month and was happy to find these two racing events. They were actually fun to do, and the payout was decent as well. Why can't they do this at least once a month?
