Can you at least take off your new arm device any time you want? At least you can shower.

I'm surprised you didn't take 'stryper' arm band with you. Could be a useful reminder not to be dragged by a boat. :)

 I thought about taking it, but it kind of stunk, like repulsive even. :ill:

I'm actually supposed to leave it on except to wash it. The doc doesn't want the bicep to 'engage' at all. That means, take it off, wash the arm, put the brace back on, cover with the garbage bag, and wash rest of body. So I guess I'm still in the waiting line for a proper shower, but at least I can wash the stinky arm and it can stay cooler than before. 👍

Love the shot of the cast in the garbage!

"Take that, you stupid piece of 🤬🤬🤬!!!"

Added a couple more pics, almost 6 weeks after surgery. Don't think it's looking too bad. Some of the repairs I've seen look nasty, almost a Harry Potter "Z" cut on the inside of the arm. The inside incision you can't hardly see, cut right on the crease of the arm, the outside incision I will see, but I don't think it will be too gnarly.

That doesn't look bad at all. It'll probably be barely noticeable in a few years.

Finally had my follow up appointment today. The doc gave me the go ahead to start working out again. His words were, "the tendon repair is pretty much bomb proof now". So there you have it. Time to get big and tear the right bicep off the bone. :D

It was good news to say the least, now if I can just get motivated again to hit the gym. It will be a few months to get back into shape. I feel like a pile of soft lard with the ambition of a 2x4.

Congrats on the recovery, Pako!

What's the next injury, short of the right arm of course, that you have planned? :dopey:

Well...I have a feeling the left rotator is about to go....., I can feel the ware and tear on that one. ;)

Come, my brother, to the dark side!

Seriously, congrats on the good news. Just take it easy for the first few weeks, unless you're into popping Aleve.

LOL, I hear ya Solid. I am going to take it easy. This much time off, there's no way I'm back in at full throttle. I've done that before, not fun.

So slowly working your way up, huh? First the meat flap, then the meat stitch soon the meat cuff followed by the meat head!

Glad to hear you are back in action and will soon be making us lazy guys look bad once again.

Well, I packed my gym bag to work today and have full intentions on going in at lunch time. It's Wednesday, so I suppose it's leg day. Just have to remind myself to take it nice and slow....nice and slow. I really need to be able to use my legs the next couple days. :)
