wtf is up with all these ****en dumb****en codex's?
its ****en pissing me off
1: i cant play a file i downloaded from mr.X like 6 months ago
2: i cant play gangs of new york my frend gave me
3: i cant play spider man i recently dl'd
4: WTF some1 please help me
i tryed dling a whole buncha crap but i deleted it cuz it didnt work..
i have divx 2.11 and windowz media player
 
Last time I reinstalled my home puter, I only installed 4 codecs and I haven't found anything I can't play yet :

Install in this order :

AC3 decoder
Ogg Vorbis decoder
Latest XviD codec
FFDshow
 
I don't know what codecs I have on my comp. You do realize 1mic that these newer games like Spiderman are 3D and require fairly recent computers.
 
Nimo codec pack solves all that.

Maybe the files are corrupted?

Plus you cant talk about movies you downloaded on the forums. :D

I didn't, on purpose, mention Nimo as it tends to clutter otherwise working systems. So if you don't need a lot of weird codecs for whichever reason applies, the 4 I mentioned seems to do the job.. ;)
 
Jeese your DivX codec is outdated! They've already released the 5 series a long time ago, update that right away! Anything that I create that is compressed with DivX(home videos, etc) is compressed with DivX5.0.1 or something along those lines.
