Before you ask, yes, I did search. Nothing.

Has anybody got any tips on setting up a Mitsubishi Evolution 3 (450bhp, 550 on NOS) to run a sub 10sec run at the drag strip?

Best I've managed is a 10.027, and I want to beat my 92CP (9.6).

It has Original suspension, weight reduction stage 3 (1071kg I think), VCD, all tranny upgrades, 1 way LSD, R5 (Super Soft) tyres and a wing. TCS is at 0.

(Also, which axle does the VCD alter? Front or rear? ie what does 10 on the VCD setting mean? 10/90 torque split f/r? or 90/10 f/r?)

VCD is 10 front/90 rear or 50 front/50 rear... can't help you with anything else. i guess suspension and gear ratios are the only thing left to play with

Suspension tuning I suck at :dunce:

Any help on what do do with the suspension to go faster, anyone?

eg: negative toe > slower or stiffer springs > faster or what?

Have no toe or camber at all, since you just going in a straight line, and it will give you a better launch because of the traction.

Make the rear ride height higher than the front, so the height will be near equal considering weight transfer, so you'll get better acceleration as well.

I'd set the LSD Initial and Accel settings relatively high, that way, there's less slip under the wheels.

And for transmission, shift about 1250 RPM after the peak in the power band, so you'll be in the power band in the next gear.

And set the VCD to 50. That way, you get an equal distribution of torque to all of the wheels.

Hope this helps,

Well it would help if your TCS was atleast at 5 or 6. That's were your losin time at and also if u drop the suspension in the back alittle you'll get better grip, but u got to remember its a AWD so don't drop it all the way down in the rear..... I've always wondered if the evo 3 is any good......tell me what happens....
