Subaru Impreza 22B Revealed in GT Sport in Regional Final Live Stream

...it wouldn't be mentioned if they would just start working on it, it is more likely that the car is already finished and the post was just there to hype a bit...
I read it as them borrowing his car to record audio samples and him uploading the photo the same time, if it was a hype post I doubt it would be coming from a private collector.

Now this I kept mentioning when it first appeared. But I am glad we're getting a premium Impreza 22B.

Since tomorrow is gonna feature a N500 race for the Asia-Oceania Finals, wonder what car they gonna reveal it there. Hopefully it's something interesting.
Probably they will show Pagani Zonda and maybe even more cars

Whoever is still complaining about the content in this game needs to take a look at themselves. I am super confident the next update brings us a 22b, escort cosworth, zonda and deep forest. They know what we want and are delivering it.

Now lets not get ahead of ourselves, the game is much better now but there is no hint Deep Forest is coming, and the Zonda won't come in this update.

Keeps dust out the cabin.

One more thing, the 22b is quick, but it's gearing is short. Top speed won't be high. I expect complaints from those not in the know.

It only had 300-odd HP. Guarantee you it's aerodynamically limited before it revs out. Probably 140-150...

OMG, yessss! Without doubt the most legendary Subaru. Really wish they'd add the WRC McRae/Burns version as well though.

I'm trying to think what other Japanese classics from GTs gone by are left to reveal. All I can think of is the Mitsi GTO but that's a bit of a boat really.

Same. The GTO is the only one now missing from the top of the range 90's model from a JDM manufacturer to be included.

And people keep mentioning Gran Turismo 1 being remastered? Even though that is completely unlikely, as much as I love GT1. Why have such a dated race experience? When we can a grid of the two of the aforementioned cars and the already included NSX, R32 GTR, Supra RZ and RX7. All we need is a classic track to race them on. Then we we will have the most iconic experience of GT1 in it's purest form. Plus, all the benefits of current gen programming, hardware and online options. Kinda of like a GT, ultimate, remastered edition.

I couldn't be happier that GT Sport keeps reviving the original GT spirit in terms of cars. The first GT game introduced me to the Impreza. It quickly became a personal favorite of mine and my go-to car in most racing games.

The 22B has featured on my personal list of cars PD might bring back for GT Sport, but it was more like a dream than a realistic expectation. Great news! :)

Less, qualifying, grid starts, AI that can keep up and prize cars for event wins that you can sell and then rewin you mean....

Look at that roof scoop! What is it for?

Look at my profile pic...... Its air conditioning hahaha. There is a vent underneath and the scoop helps direct more air into the cabin. At above 40mph it moves enough air to keep inside temps bearable on the hottest of days. Especially useful in rally where having the windows down means everything gets caked in dirt/dust/mud you name it. I hated cutting the hole in the roof but it was well worth it!!!!!!!

Mine is a 95 Impreza L with a built 06 wrx engine/dash/wiring swap, 02 2.5rs 4.11 trans, and 07 FXT auto LSD. Its a dedicated rallycross car but does get driven on the street sometimes.

I am so happy this is coming!!!!!!!

Tight drop. Wasn't on my radar as PD did not prioritize old steel in Sport... Glad to see an extension of their apparent reniewed interest in bringing the 90's into the fold. 22b is a perfect addition. Grounded, mechanical, balanced... It's going to be great to throw this around the ring.

Dreams of the future... 190e Evo II & the E36 M3 (sedan).

If by classics you mean from the 90’s, then there are the Toyota Celica, Subaru SVX, Subaru Legacy, Nissan Stagea, Honda Civic, Honda Integra, Honda Prelude, Tommykaira ZZ, Mazda MX-5.

And of course the legendary Daihatsu Midget II ;)

I meant ones that kind of define the series (ones with multiple versions). I did of course forget the MK1 and 2 MX-5s as you suggest.

Depends if PD used a UK Prodrive car.
Can't remember the gearing of this one, but I looked at it everyday when I worked at Subaru Interactive @Docklands. Belongs to Subaru Australia. The solberg replica, is one of the technician's cars.
