Subaru's in the High 8's

My friend and I own two similar Subaru's WRX Sti Spc. C

The only diffrence is

I run in the low 9's and he run's 8's...he wont tell me his secret, anyone have any tips on how I can get mines even faster?

I imagine he means 400m times. If that's the case, there are numerous settings for the Spec C around the rest of the Tuning & Setting forum.

leave TCS on, hold the NOS button on the launch and just go WOT all the way. Make sure you have racing slicks super soft. I'm trying to hit the 7.9 secs range.

add max balast to the rear of the car its an easy way to take 0.5 of a second (at least) off your times. if you havnt already

It depends on the shifts if your over reving or short shifting and hes getting perfect shifts that could be the problem my wrx runs 8.4's the fastest i got was 7.8 (miracle)

Are you both using automatics, or manuals, maybe he's using a different transmission than you are. What are your 1000m times like? he may just be using shorter gears than you are.

Try increasing the limited slip differential accel, for me, this puts more torque to the rear wheels which makes for a better launch

Mine is running the 1/4 in 8.054 sec if your interested say so and i'll give you what i got

I hit 7.9 with no tuning, accept lowered the car.. get super soft tires, put it in 3rd gear and press nos at the same time. easy 7's.
