Suggestions about my new ride

Well I think i need to do some fixing up to my car. For one I think I need a carbon fiber hood but I don't know how i'll look. Also I want new rims. I hate taking care of chromy rims. I need some ideas. And If anyone could shop the car so I could see how it would look. Please any thoughts would help
 
It is a real car. Also really fast.

and its not a rice buner. Rice buners are stangs and vettes. Stuff thats not Japanese and can beat them.

First you'll have to put back on the oem bumper, then put on the oem wing. Then take off the oogly sideskirts that have a very stupid non functioning air duct in them. At least thats what I'd do if that were my car.
 
If it were my car and I was going to be serious about street racing it I would take off the rediculous body kit, cuz all that does it add weight. Get rid of the big@ss spoiler...cuz its extra weight and adds downforce on the back tires, which is fine if you're doing something like autocross or racing with turns, but for straight streetracing, massive spoilers suck. I dont know what kind of turbo you have, but its probably fine. If it sucked, I would replace it. I would beef up the bottom end of the engine so it could take a 75-125 shot of NOS....thats about it....i suppose...

I dont know why you want to change it, I think it looks good. The body kit Id keep because its not just a show car. Second, youve got a convertible ala cabriolet and is the tits. :lol: :eek:
Keep the kit, get rid of the one wiper look, keep the rims or at least go lighter to what you can afford and do the basic mods at first.

I'd say, get rid of the body kit, get rid of the body of the car, and get rid of the chassis, and get the Protege back! lol, just kidding.

Sell the body kit, the whole body kit, spoiler and everything, and find a factory Mitsubishi kit of some sort, it would fit better and look better. If it's fast, keep the engine as is. Ohh and get rid of the retarded single wiper! As for the rims, the ones on there are ugly as all get out. To to find some good looking and functional alloy rims. Not too big though. Like 16"s or 17"s, not bigger. And for tires, get some higher performance ones from Nitto, but buy them so that the tire width is slightly bigger than the wheel size, so then you get better handling and more foot print.

And can you take a pic of the back of the car? I'd like to see it.
 
Repaint it black with a low key rear spoiler, but get rid of the body kit. Consider different fog lights and headlamp lenses. And new wheels.
 
Black, Red or Yellow :cubist: respray and invest in some security if it hasn't got any :2cents:

Has it got a good sound system? :embarrassed:pera:
 
My friend has an eclipse and he put those neon lights all around the bottom under the car to make it glow a really cool green, just like the eclipse in that bad movie T Fast and the Furious.... its a really cool looking touch ifyou do it in a sky blue colour.

Important things:

- What model is it? GS, GSX, etc.?
- What are you hoping to achieve? Looks, speed or both?
- What's your budget?
 
Ok the car is a 97 Spyder. If you coulndn't tell. I'm not getting rid of the kit. I like it and it doesn't add that much weight. Rember I don't street race and its ok at the track so what do I care.

I'm getting new rims. No new paint. The Carbon hood doesn't look that good.

Yes there is a system. Its ok all Eclipse stuff. My boss thought it would go with the car :D .

I want just suggestions on my car. Performance or Style. It does have a turbo but I find there is some lag.

It doesn't matter what the cost casue I can get it at a huge discount at work.

The back looks pretty much like a normal Eclipse with a wing. BTW the wing isn't that bad. It looks kinda weird with it off. And plus its not a huge ass Aluminium wing.

Did i miss anything?
 
but wouldnt you like a car that doesnt need a turbo to be fast? im NA all the way. you guys that have these Japanese cars with turbos and stuff i just dont understand. why dont you get a car that does a 14 and under 1/4 mile standard?
 
Well "It does have a turbo but I find there is some lag" doesn't tell us much. Tell us what is done to car performance wise if you want suggestions. He asked what model it was because there were two spyders, a GS and a GST.

Why don't you do what you want to do, and let everyone else blow their money on a Japanese car?
