Working on a tip from NISM0_Skyline I ended up back at the Sultan of Michigan's collection yesterday evening for a charity event. $20 go you 3 hours of looking at cars, drinking beer/wine and eating some pretty good food. It was all in support of a soccer team, I wish I had this kind of sponsorship when I played sports.

It was a really fun night and I ended up talking with Doug, the curator of the collection, for a long time. He told me most of the cars are driven in some capacity and many are bought and sold frequently. He told me 12 cars in the collection were going up for auction this summer to make room for some more toys.

I'm not going to write what they all are because truthfully as car nuts we should really all know . If you want to know about something though please just ask!

Quite a nice collection. Thats Callaway's garage isn't it?

Shame to not see any Foxbody's or 3rd gen Fbody's. :(

I demand pictures of those second gen blue and white Trans Ams.

Having said that, wow. Who is this guy for having in his garage the green 55 Chevy pick up with the E-Rod engine that Chevrolet itself presented at SEMA 2010?

My favorites might probably be the Pontiac Can AAm, very underestimated late model muscle, the Hurst Olds, the Orange AAR Cuda and, Joey... the first Mopar is actually a 1970 Cougar Eliminator, bud.

Also, that blue 1968 Camaro... this one got dammit:

appeared not too long ago in Hot Rod. It's an LS7 pushing down 700 or so to the wheels.

Hahaha. Clearly says "Cougar" on the right front corner.

But whatever. I don't want to see somebody else's garage, I want to see JOEY'S garage.

He still doesn't have a viper....Hmmm you'd think he would have one just for collection's sake.:odd:

Ya I fixed the Mercury, I meant to put it under Other Classics but just mixed up the headings.

 I'm movin to michigan in 2 months, does this guy open his garage often?

A couple times a year. I'll let you know when the next one comes up. Where abouts in Michigan are you moving too?

Linginfelter's collection.

It's not very exciting, it's full of furniture and a hybrid Fusion right now. I mean I could take a picture but you wouldn't see anything interesting.

From what I was told he doesn't keep all his cars there, he very well might have a Viper.

Fine then, don't spill the beans, dick. :P

Think about it...why the hell would Lingenfelter want a Viper? It's pretty obvious.

Linginfelter's collection.

Haha I know who the guy is, but he seems to have some really good contacts with GM in order to have some Chevrolet concept-show-fleet cars of years past.

For example, the Yellow Camaro in the background of this picture:

Was also a GM engineering/show mule when the LS1 4th gen Camaro was just coming out, it bore a really worked LS and all the drag stuff... and then shows up with this guy.

Flint :sly: best city in the world! :D I'll be going to kettering and working for GM (hopefully) :)

 Well good luck with Flint, but Kettering is a really good school! I'm not all that far from there and a couple of my good friends go there/graduated from there. I'll let you know the next time the collection is open!

He may also be searching for the right one. I was told long ago he wanted to really add a F50 to his collection, but would wait until just the right one came onto the market.

Thanks man! I can't wait to go :)
