They look very sexy indeed! Looking at the GT500 cars in the clip above, they seem very fast on track. As I hear they will be up to 2.5 sec faster per lap then last year. Can't wait for the season to start.

You are correct my friend the 2014's are faster than last year. How fast? Lets compare the GT500 to 2013 WEC LMP1 & LMP2 Fuji Pole times. To be fair i picked Fuji because its a high speed track that both WEC & Super GT race on.

No. 7 Toyota Racing LMP1 1:26.779 (2013 pole time Fuji) 800HP max

I'm afraid there aren't any live streams for Super GT at least I didn't find any last season. I hope this changes for this season as it's shaping up the be a great one!
There is a channel on youtube that posts the race a few hours after the finish but because of copy rights he takes the video down in a day or two so you need to check out the races as soon as possible.

I think Niconico had some on the Super GT channel? I think some time ago (Last year?) there was a link to the channel in question on the Super GT site.

Found it. It looks like they'll be streaming the races live, though it seems there is geoblocking, which I encountered last time I tried to watch live, though it may or may not be related to me using a free account.
They appear to be rebroadcasting last year's races, which I think are not blocked this time around.

My prediction is lexus 1 2 3 if they can all keep it to the finish.. They have very strong drivers, who will be very very confident. Expecting some close and nervewrecking racing still!

Hopefully Keihin will win - failing that Raybrig. It will probably be a Nissan or Lexus though.

I had this crazy hunch that NSX will get the win at the first round. either Raybrig or Weider. they seem to imply that Honda were sandbagging on the tests to surprise the other makers... i hope so.

AFAIK, they're just testing some things and didn't really go all out on the test. IDK if there are specific issues but http://supergt.net/pages/pg:news_detail/device:pc/ln:en/id:13694 mentioned something about Weider (who got top time for the Honda NSX fleet, but 10th overall) “hiding its claws”.

For Honda the problem lies in their hybrid system. Their not making enough power to offset the weight of the the system. At the moment the system weight is 70 kg or 154 lb. Since hybrid systems are optional Honda is going to rely on GTA for some BoP to make the cars even. http://supergt.net:8080/upload/files/1395912971_555056821.pdf
