Post here if you plan to join. This series is a first come, first serve series.

I like the series and the schedule, but it seems like the car swapping thing is too strict. I would prefer to run any super gt car without having to worry about points being deducted because i ran the same car twice in a row or something.

This looks like a great series, it's simple and too the point.
I'd like to join, and I'll go with either Lexus or Honda(which ever ends up being the least popular)

Hello eci !
Since i really like the work you've done with the FF series, i would like to take part in this one with the NISSAN
Because its on wednesday, it will be better suit my evening weeks, since i always have something on thursdays and i will have to quit FF.

I'm really considering it. I just have serious reservations about having to change cars every week, and having to run on the superspeedways.

I guess changing cars each week wouldn't be that big of a deal, I just don't understand the reasoning behind that requirement.

As for the superspeedways, with the ridiculously exagerated draft in GT5, a superspeedway race will turn into a drafting battle and crashfest unless everyone in the race is WAY above average driving level. If we are going to be able to drop our 2 worst races, then I could just skip those 2. :)

I agree with Boshuter. In my experience the oval tracks turn into a crash fest unless you have experienced racers who know how to use the draft. Instead of the oval track you might want to switch to the road courses. You'll have better racing

I would prefer to have the freedom of running the super gt of choice without losing points.

How about dropping the points for our 2 or 3 worst races? The schedule is long and not everyone will make every race. This would certainly tighten up the point race at the end and make things more interesting.👍

To those of you wanting to join.....welcome! The race will be hosted in my lounge, so be sure to send me a friend request on PSN. (Eciracing).

The lounge will open at 8:30EST, and racing will begin at 9:30EST. I would suggest an early arrival. There are MANY people that plan to join from the PS forums.

Hope to see you guys there. Should be fun!

I would love to join. I will be running toyota or honda, i will decide tonight. I like the idea of dropping a few races, things come up for everyone once in a while.

I'm using the Lexus/Toyota cars and the best time I've gotten with no draft is 47 seconds with the YellowHat. Yes the race at Daytona will be crazy and yes there will be crashes but I can assure you that most of the people from the Sony forums have raced together for a long time in various cars in different series. Hopefully the race will be a clean one but anything can happen.

As for dropping the results for the two worst races, far as I know eci hasn't mentioned anything like that so it probably ain't gonna happen. Just do some laps with different cars from the various manufacturers and show up to race. Gonna be a good series.

Would love to join but I'm GMT and don't fancy staying up till 3am  Good luck with the series though.

This should be exciting as it is my first race series. I hope you all won't blow me out of the water each race.

You picked a good series to have as your first one. Eci is a great host and everyone I know that is in the series are clean drivers. Plus the cars are all equal pretty much so it comes down to driver skill and tuning. I hope to win one race in the series and it's going to be a blast throughout the whole thing.

Sounds like there might be a practice session tonight round 8:30 pm est. If anyone is interested in racing this thing stop on by and run some laps. Meet the people and work on drafting. See you there.

hey is it to late to get in on this. friends on psn if i can join or fill a spot to this same name here. i would be on the nissan side of this.. 👍

Good race last night guys. Congrats to homeslice47 on the win. Since the race was at Daytona there were many wrecks and I was involved in two of them if I remember right. First I was drafting ice fairly early in the race and just after the final turn I tried to bump draft him and ended up getting next to him on his left. We made contact and I ended up spinning out right in front of pit road. I was in the grass near the start/finish line and the game thought I pitted. I chose tires and fuel and the car went back to the pits. What's weird is after the car left the pits, I had no control with the wheel. The YellowHat was on cruise control at around 170 mph for a whole lap and mercifully I was able to pit the following lap and away I went lol. At that time I knew that the other drivers were getting close to their first pit stop so I tried to work with whoever was closest to me to to keep draft speed around the whole track. I ended up working with Juan for a majority of the race, up until we got side by side and I got in front of him a little too much and I ended up hitting the wall. That put me back a couple of spots.

Then late in the race Gojet and a pacing car made contact. I saw him in the middle of the track and I tried to avoid him but could not and I slammed into him at 190 mph. So we spun around for awhile and hit each other again before we could get control of our cars. At that point in the race I figured I was done so I just cracked open another beer. Ended up finishing fourth and I'm happy with that considering there was 13 or 14 racers in the lounge and the fact that I went from 2nd or 3rd to last place after the pit road mishap lol.

Sorry I didn't make it guys, it sounds like it was an eventful race. I was online and ready to race, but just spaced it and forgot about it. I've got a weekly alarm set now, won't happen again. :)

Congrats to Homeslice47 on the win.
