i just started on s12. I did all the other licenses in order but i'm jumping around Super doing the tracks I know first. already did citta d'aria - weird test, way easier than the version in ib or ia or whichever it was. trial mountain - i didn't find this one hard at all, 6668, what did you have trouble with? maybe it's just easy for me because i feel like i spent forever on the first part of this course in the test that pops up in both gt3 and gt4 - it's really just that test run 25% faster, plus the Yellow Bird test only easier because the merc is way better behaved. el capitan, which was a pain in the ass, but i got it in the end. only down to the silver time on s12, but i already love it - gold is clearly a hard time but it's so damn fun! such a nice car to drive. wish they were all like this.

edit - uh, by 'did', i mean 'gold', obviously.

I have got all silver and 1 gold for the S license. Today I got the gold from S-15 and I must have beaten the gold time by something like 1 to 2 seconds!!
The trick to that is to drive over the red road bits which are sometimes on the inside of the blue and yellow kerbs.
I just got the all silver award today!! The Pontiac Solstice Coupe Concept.
I'd like the all gold prize but, whoa, it sure seems hard!!

I didn't do any of the coffee breaks after the first one. You don't have to; they don't count for anything. You don't have to pass to pass the license, and they don't count to the prize cars (if you get 16 golds on any level and don't pass the coffee break at all, you get the gold prize car).

im on 99.8% and stuck i thought the licenses didnt count to your percentage but im posotive ive done every other race i think its just the licences ive got all gold in every licence except 4 which i have silver im not sure the numbers but the 1 @ suzuka with the JGCT 350z, si6 @ nurburgring with the AMG mercedes, s15 i think @ sarthe with the bentley and i dont remember the other 1 any help

edit: the licenses didnt count to your percentage i found a rase that i missed:dunce:and now ive got 1000%

The licenses don't count to your percentage. I did most of the licenses before starting the game proper; even when I had 64 golds from B through to IA, my completion percentage was 0%. You must have missed a race or two somewhere - check them all, make sure you don't mistake any bronzes for golds etc...

Thanks for the info. I was getting so mad trying to pass that stupid thing. Im looking to get all silver for the Potiac Solstice, and i was worried i wouldn't get it because of that. Now I'm stuck at Infineon with the Audi racecar. I need 1.17.300 for silver, and the best i could get was a 1.17.337.

whygostraight - I just reached the same test myself! It's a breath of fresh air after that horrible Renault FF on Opera Paris, augh. took me about 20 mins to get a 1:15.752. biggest help for me was to realise you hardly have to brake for any of the esses - maybe a tiny lift off for the second one where it gives you a flashing 4, and a tiny bit of brake for the final one. other than that it was a pretty easy test once I figured out the line and braking point for the first complex of corners. time to sleep now, onto the final three tests tomorrow :P

nearly there - 79 golds :). Just finished S15 with a 3:16.987 - I posted a 3:19.099 for my second complete lap (3:19 is required time) while still not really knowing most of the third section of the track, so after that I had to kill the required time :). Now just gotta get around the 'ring again, what fun that'll be, sigh...

So, whats a "good" S16 time?

i pulled a 6'52 in three tries today... i'm assuming 6'4x is what i should be shooting for.

o.o does anyone else play the japanese gt4? I'm at S-16 right now, only difference is that I have to complete it with the Sauber C9 Race Car.
It's pretty nutty since the car has a lot of downforce D:

I'm not the fastest driver but the game is still great, I just came back to the game after leaving it for a while and I got past the S licence this weekend, bronze with a few silvers. Before then I was stuck on the S12 Audi test and S 13 Nissan Z test. I found that a good way of getting through is to do a 'safe' lap and just get around the course at a fair pace without falling off, then, use that ghost car as a marker and see where you can go faster, and edge the time down each time. You can also gain a lot of time getting a good fast start off the line (quite often I would leave my ghost car for dead just off the start line!! hehe).

no one else plays the Japanese version?
i still haven't completed s-16 haha...the c9 race car is way too responsive/grippy for this course; sometimes feathering the brakes makes the car jump over little bumps o.o
oh yeah, the times are 6'43", 6'03", and 5'47" ish :/

I just started playing the game recently after not playing for months. I had previously passed all the super license tests with bronzes and a few silvers. I got all golds in about 5 hours total over 2 days. The hardest tests for me were the 350Z on suzuka and the 190E on nurburg.

From memory i got the game on a saturday, picked my ps2up from my dads then played it. It took me till monday night to get my special licence, The ones that took the most time was the Audi R8 test at Infinion and the 350Z test at Suzuka. A Whole lot of fun on the last test didnt even push, drove like a nana and got silver. :dopey:

Ugh the Infineon one drove me nuts...especially when I was tryin to get Silver..what was more frustrating is when I got silver is was just under a tenth off gold >.<

I must just love Sears Point, because I got that silver on about my third try, and just a little off gold. Made gold on it about 3 tries after that. I just get along with that track - I'm gonna start calling it my home course.

I've got all silver and a couple golds on my Super License, and I'm nothing special as a driver in GT. So if I can do it, you guys can too! Practice, practice, practice, and if you get frustrated, pass on it for a while and do something fun, then come back fresh.

Nurburgring is'nt that hard compared to Chamonix, god I hate Chamonix, 75% of the time I would drift out hit the side and fail.

As long as you don't hit it too hard, it's OK.

The key for rallying is to enter with a huge angle at low speed and exit in a rather "strait" line at a higher speed as possible 👍
