"SUPER" Rare UCD Cars

My friend on PSN told me about some, rumored "SUPER" Rare cars on gt5. he told me about a black trimmed Audi R8 '01 LMP car and also a Mazda 787b Standard car. Has anyone ever seen the rumored cars? Personally i think it's BS

P.S Two of my friends said they say that they saw the black R8, and on a Youtube video i saw a standard 787b ,but it was an old vido from before gt5 came out.

Never heard of that Audi, but you can get a standard 787B via importing cars from GT PSP in arcade mode.

There was a "road going" version of the R8 LM in GTPSP. Never seen it in GT5 though. As for the standard 787 I have it as an import, and I´m sure I´ve seen it a couple of times in the UCD.

The wierdest car I´ve seen so far in GT5, was today. It was a Korean Lexus IS sponsored by Yahoo! Don´t know if it´s rare, but at least for ME, this is the first time I ever see this car.

Probably it isn´t that rare, but I don´t recall seeing it in GT4 or in GTPSP.

Well now I know it isn´t rare. And I´m not spreading bs rumors, since this is the first time I ever seen it. If I saw it in GT4, I honestly don´t remember...

I don´t think there are "rare" cars at all. It´s just the way that the UCD rotates its content.

I think when most people say rare they mean it does not show up in the UCD that often.

The one car you probably all have I'm struggling to find. The Cerbera Speed 12. It's constantly at the top of the time trials, I'm really having issues getting it.

I've heard about the 787B but can't confirm it, nor can you get any info on it.

Yep. In my experience UCD cars are rare, but not across the board the way they are sometimes mentioned to be, it seems some cars are "rarer" than others to certain individuals. I've seen some of the same stupid model of Mercedes hatchback or Skyline over and over, taking up space. It took me three days of intense recycling to get the NOMAD Diablo, and some cars I've still never seen that others say they've seen multiple times.

I agree there is no need to bully around people you don't know.

With the OCD giving us Chapparal 2D's & 2J's recently , then nobody can claim any UCD car is " Rare " . At some point in time all of the expensive & highly sought vehicles will appear in the OCD anyway ....

When people play through the game the UCD constantly overturns anyway . 1 seasonal = 6 new cars to choose from for example .

I have over 1080 + cars now in my garage . The only claim I can make is that it's " Rare " for myself to find anything I don't own already , although having more than 1 type of car can be quite good too .

I bought a black Super Impreza Touring car the other day simply because after a very long time of searching the UCD I've only ever seen silver ones previously. That one is definitely more than rare by my own experiences.

Rare = not seen very often

In the UCD some cars appear more often than others, which means that those who doesn't appear very often could be considered rare. Wether you have been able to buy the specific car or not is all based on luck/bad luck.

I'm still trying to get the #42 Fina BMW Maclaren.....seen the bugger ONCE when I didn't have enough money and now I have loads of dosh I never see the damn car. I check the UCD all the time too.

I can remember in GT4 the UCD would include some black liveried le mans cars every couple hundred days. I think it was a really cool idea to have these super rare cars, and it kept me collecting

I think rarity is a rather speculative thing with GT5, if you've got the car it isn't rare at all. But if you've been trying to find it for ages it is perceived, in your mind, as rare. Personally, I feel that a really rare car is one that not many people keep, regardless of how many times it appears in the UCD/OCD. Things like the Nissan GTR Concept (Tokyo Motor Show) for example, as most people will opt for the release versions and simply pass this one by. The IS200 that has already been mentioned also often gets given up because of a perceived lack of power, but it's a GT300 class car, which really excels in handling rather than outright power.

I tend not to waste my time with cars I wouldn't drive anyway, even if they are rare. It's annoying enough trying to find a car in my garage as it is.
