Surviving the boring #13

Hi guys,

I'm just really bored, as I have lots of time, and no races to do it in. I'm not going near Ovals again (madmen! I wish I had never seen those oval drivers!) and I know that I'm not the only one.

So, let's discuss things to survive it.

What are your plans for Season 4?

Maybe, if two or more people from Season 4 are on the thread, we can discuss lap times, and practice. That's what I'm doing, to survive Week #13, but, I'm still a second off-pace in the Jetta. :scared:

Anyways, enough, let's discuss..

Not sure about season 4 but you can always enter some hosted races to reduce your boredom. I had a blast last night with a hosted 'trucks at Watkins Glen' session. :)

Well I've made my purchases ahead of the next season of Star Mazda so I can complete the full season.
I've also bought Sebring (as its a track I'll need later) and the Lotus 79 with the intention to run that series and gain my A-class license.

If I manage to get to A-class within a couple of weeks I'll switch to the Williams for the rest of the season (while still running the Star Mazda). If not, I'll run the 8 races for the cash in the Lotus and run what races I can in the Williams.

So this weekend I'm going to focus on practicing with the Lotus.

I will purchase the Monte Carlo SS to compete in D Class Oval. If I reach D 4.0 I will switch over to C Class Street Stock.

For Road Racing I will buy the Dallara to enter C class fixed series with the option to enter B Class open series with C 4.0

I will purchase 4 tracks for road racing and use the basic tracks for oval. Makes 6 items to purchase and 20% discount. I am looking very much forward to season 4! :-)

I'll be running the Mustang Challenge and the inRacing News Challenge in the Solstice once again, as well as the occasional Grand-Touring Cup, Cadillac Cup, and GT Challenge race for fun.

Yeah, I've got a different plan than you guys. I want to run the Grand Touring Cup; and maybe even win my division a few times, or the championship...

My goal on this game is to get into the Grand Am Premier series eventually. But as for now im just gonna be doing some SRF races until the week turns over. Hopefully now that ive got good income coming in ill be able to get more DLC and compete in something other than Nvidia and Street Stock series on a regular basis lol.

Good to hear that, Kevin. :)

Yeah, I just bought the Jetta and the full season of tracks; it's an idea to look for a season that you have the cars and tracks for, and fill-in the gaps, in my opinion. I guess it makes sense, so that you can really try to get into the championship chase... ;) It's an idea.

I just made a boring week 13 a bit more exciting by winning a race in the SRF.. :P

I'm using this week 13 as a week off. I'm playing some GT5 and enjoying it.

When I get back I plan on racing the mustang challenge or whatever it's called. Adding tracks for that series and the grand am series, possibly ovals that I can use for indycar and the nationwide car.

So, to make this week 13 fun, I'm taking a break xD

Did a few street stock races, to get my SR over 3.0. Going to try and run mustang next season, but I don't want to buy too many tracks. Chances are I'll miss most of the season anyway.

I'm going to check out what track the street stock is ok tomorrow. I did some races at the track that's practically a circle....

BAD CHOICE.

Can't. Will you be on tomorrow?

I doubt it; I'm going to look at a Lexus SC300 for $2900 CDN, it'll likely be my first car (that I buy, maintain, and fix.) So, I'm thinking I'll only be on if I'm back from looking at the new car soon. If it takes a few hours, I don't think I'll be back.

Alright. Which track is it?

New Hampshire; I'm thinking you might have it, because of your oval races.

Thing is, I'd also like to know the lap times that the MX-5s run, because the Solstice won't be too far behind.

It's on my list, I don't have it yet, sorry.

No worries. Effectively, polar, I'll ask some other people, if they know the MX-5 lap times.

Alright. Ill help you with lap times at other tracks, because ill be racing this series on them :)
