Suzuka 600PP Audi R8 lap times

I was in a race earlier online, and i got a 2:16 lap time with my Audi R8 tuned to 595PP. Is this good? I thought it was considering the other day the best lap time I got with the R8 was 2:19 with it tuned to 600PP, but correct me if I'm wrong. What are your best lap times with the Audi R8?

Ah, I almost shat myself. 1'16 is a fast lap for the R8. Well I know you probablly don't want to hear this, but your lap time is rubbish and due to the Rubber Band Effect you ran a lap you could never run, only if you got R3 tires and all the power possible could you run a lap as fast or faster. A good lap at Suzuka, a consistant lap I ran many times was 2'20. However in practice/ free run I pushed a 2'19 out of it. If I had +5 PP perhaps 2'18..but I dunno it would have to be a darn good lap and a good tune.

Yeah I couldn't believe it when I saw 2:16, I thought that was pretty dang good. Although I did feel very confident about the lap. I felt like it was by far the fastest lap I've ever done, it seemed flawless to me. Anyways probably a stupid question but what exactly do you mean by rubber band effect?

I can do a 2:19 in free run quite easily with my Audi R8 setup.

Rubberband means you get boost when you're behind in a race. After some visits to the sand traps I've seen my laptimes decrease by 3 seconds.

I was using your setup.

I also got quite a few 2:19's today with your setup in free run.

I'm pretty sure there have been some laps where I've spun off & been well behind where the rubber-band has been a lot more than 3 secs - more like 10 secs.

Online boost or rubberband effect, is one of the things that annoyes me the most online. If you mess up, then you should lose the time you lost.
It's just a way for PD to minimise the effect of the awful penalty system.

Really? I didn't know that if you were behind in a race, the game has a little bit of a "catch up" feature...Well, that's good and bad. It's good if someone jerk decides to ram you and you can catch up, but bad if your in second. Although, i don't think it plays much effect when your right behind someone. Maybe just really far away...

I took the R8 out today for a practise on time trial and after about half an hour of practise i managed a 2:18.5xx. this was a completely stock R8 with no quick tune and running on S2 tires. pretty good lap time i think...

A stock R8 has a PP higher than 600 and with the new update it is definitely possible to get into the 2'13s on the time trial. I am at 2'14 right now but i was a lap full of mistakes, try not using the brakes as much, you will find out the car just glides through the turns, especially the esses at the beginning.

I've run Suzuka with Audi R8 LMS on sim, and the best lap I've managed was 2:09:272, but idk how a guy has managed to do 2:00 time. I want to beat it, but have no idea where I'm losing time?
