what the hell is a Sileighty??? That looks like a 240sx to me.

it is a 240sx, but someone in japan decided to put the S13 front light kit onto a 240sx. and from there on it became a hot think to do to your 240sx

it's very custom and hard to do.

Just buy a used 240SX and then get a JDM front end shipped to you. IT would be cheaper than to have an actual S13 imported from the Mother land.

Very custom and hard to do??? MY azz...They make KITS for that guy......The whole thing about the Sil 80 was that the 180SX's rear end was lighter than that of a Silvia's Rear end...So they decided to put the stronger enging..The Silvia's SR20DET into the front of the 180SX..And they took it to the next step by putting the front clip on.....Now adays..That's very very very VERRRRYY common

no such thing "SIL-15" or "SIL-1580's" it's just Sil80-Sileighty, S13 ,S14, S15. and sadly the Silvia cars will come to an end. the prduction of S-15's will stop this december :(

but anyways sil-80s are awsome
right now im actually looking to build one up my self.
but i also need the sr20 engine to put in there

Those lights, aren't lights at all. They are covers, they are purple and silver. The ones I posted were strictly race cars... Yeah, HID/Xenon lights do look blue, but the actual lights look clear. I'm 99% sure they are made of glass.

i wonder would the RB26 engine work for that cause that would be ****ing awsome to do maybe to much power

I've heard of people putting in Rb25/26, but with alot of custom modification, due to the turbo being where the Steering column would be.(putting rb26 on USDM 240...)

I cant beleive how much crap I red when i looked at this page. The 180SX has pop-up headlights and when the drifters would crash and screw up the front it would be cheaper to go to a junk yard and just buy s13 silvia front peices, because the original pop-up headlight assembly is quite expensive because of the motors and other peices. The S13 silvia and 180sx share many peices. INCLUDING the engine. They both come with the SR20DET and for the first few years of production came with the CA18DET (hence the name 180SX, 1.8 litre). The hood, and fenders and bumper from the S13 silvia are a perfect fit and require no modification. It does not change the weight at all. Loosing the pop-up headlight and pop-up motors for larger stationaryheadlights evened the weight to around stock. The motors from the Silvia and 180SX are identical (except for Silvia S15 it is slightly different but is still a variation of the SR20DET). Niether engine is stronger, they are identical. The pictures of the 180SX (240SX) with S15 front is just for show, it is called a strawberry face conversion and cost alot to do. If you are going to do the strawberry face conversion you cant use stock S15 fenders, hood, or bumper because the bolt patterns dont match up at all. If your car isnt going to be just for show then by all mean dont do the strawberry face conversion, it is very expensive to fix and even harder to find. I had bought a silvia S13 front end clip from www.srswap.com I not only got the JDM SR20DET engine but also received the fenders, hood, bumper, 1 headligh and both headlight buckets. I got the other headllight off ebay. I AM NOT just jumping on the band wagon, someone beat the hell out of my car with a bat or something wile it was in the parking lot at the train station. I was lucky to get these parts and are extra's in any front clip. I killed to birds with one stone, my car looked better and a hell of alot more powerful. I cranked up the boost to 14psi with my new HKS intercooler and manual boost controler. I couldnt care less about how much horsepower i have, horsepower alone dosent make a car fast. It that plus, weight, gearing, tires and other things. Im not stupid so i dont street race, but i will occasionaly spin my tires at a stoplight when i see any ricers near by, showem whos boss. The acceleration is incredible, it incredibly reliable, i love my sileighty, and yes the what their actualy called, 180SX + Silvia= sileighty nissan also did the opposite to the S13 240SX coupe that came out in the U.S it is a silvia back with a 180SX front, they did this to make it look more like the fastback so they could call them the same thing. I would also like to mention that the KA24DE engine is a much better engine then the SR20DET, respondes much better to mods. A few companys have turbo kits, i highly suggest doing that instead of swapping the SR20DET. In the long run its actualy cheaper if your looking to get 400hp. The ka is also better for drifting because theres no lag the powers always there, but if you turbo it its not as good a drift car. It will always be a good drift car, but some engines are better. Alot of people just automaticly consider the KA **** and the SR god.

IDC. S15 front end conversion isnt that expensive. Only $700 for regular lights, and $1800 for HID. And that is from a very reputable company, SiGNAL Auto...

They also do engine work, here are their quotes:

Front Clip SR20 Swap
**Used Harness, Motor, Transmission, Normal Turbo, included labor**
S13 - $5,500

How much did you pay for your front clip?

damn..I wish I was in Cali, I'd definitely have a swap done there. $3000+/- is about what redtop front clips are going for plus installation and any odds and ends parts they may need to replace. Plus you know that with Signal they're definitely going to do it right. Signal needs to open a shop in New York or Boston or something so it's up in my neck of the woods hehe.
