It's not new firmware, just a new driver.

Driver = software for the PC only, changing how the device behaves with the PC only.
Firmware = software in the device itself, changing how it behaves overall.

If you want to unleash the full glory of the T500 RS FFB.... update then get rF2. OMG you haven't experienced FFB until you do.

To get access to the the beta, a full retail purchase of rFactor 2 is required. rFactor 2 sells for $43.99, including 18 months of online account membership instead of the 12 months buyers of the final version will receive. The licensing purchase happens within the rFactor 2 launcher as described in the installation guide.

So much for "open". Well.

Yes, I've heard that those with the T500RS is getting great FFB in rF2. The G25/G27 is just as good as long as you do stay within the track. Going off track with those wheels could result in a damaged (steering) wheel (or at least it feels like it's gonna break). Some would argue that it's perhaps the best implementation of realistic damage :)

Yes ForceFeedback preset made by ISI for T500 RS on their game is awesome đź‘Ť :dopey: đź‘Ť

Trick on this game (rFactor2):
- If you use GT wheel (for "1966 Brabham BT20", "Renault Megane Trophy", etc...): in game in "Settings/Controls" just click on "Load" & choose "TRS Racing Wheel"
- If you use FERRARI F1 wheel (for "Formula Renault", etc...) with "Advanced Mode (29 functions directly on the wheel)": in game in "Settings/Controls" just click on "Load" & choose "Ferrari F1 Integral T500"

Just a quick impression found on another forum:
rF2 makes my new T500 RS shine. Oh wow is the FFB amazing- right out of the box without changing or tweaking anything in the game. I spent an hour with rF2 last night messing around and each car feels different- VERY different. The FFB, sounds, feel of the car everything feels so much different.

No one has mentioned the sounds! The engines IMHO still need some work as they don't sound raw and throaty enough. No sounds of over-runs and it's too smooth. But the tire sounds are where the game's sounds shine. Finally a game gets it right! The skidding, the scrubbing noises it's all fantastic. I'd like to hear more road noise- stuff kicking up and hitting the underside of the car.

I also managed to flat spot the tires in the Formula Renault.

Finally I felt like I was driving a car and not a game.

Used the T500+TH8+CSP with this. I have to say the FFB sucks as its just rumble and powerful center spring. Thus no connection with the road at all. The sound is decent. The graphics are from 5 to 7 years ago.
If this beta just needs a few tweaks before going gold then I am hugely disappointed. Plus unless the FFB gets seriously fixed it goes into the arcade category for me.

Now if you'll excuse me I am going to go have more fun with an in my opinion more proper sim, GTR Evolution.

First to say that my comment doesnt have nothing with the t500.

But I dont get it how some people are delighted with ffb in Rf2 and you say it sucks big time!

I could get it if these opinions have slight difference, but they are like fire and water!

I am not saying you lie or them but I just dont get it. lets use mercedes as examle. I could say it is great, you can say it is not so good but you can not say it is **** car ( I hope you understand what I am trying to say).

I know what you are saying. With the graphics and sound I indeed disagree with the looks. I personally think that the car model graphics in CARS is far better for example which is a game at early alpha stage still.

I am more concerned about the implementation and delivery. In real life there is only one real physics model in nature. So at the end of the day if all is correct the racing simulators should become equal in terms of physics and feel. This game however is worlds apart from GTR Evolution and iRacing for example. Read it is far worse. If you have played either or preferably both games then you should know what I am talking about.

What I did for my controller setup was to use the TRS profile and edit the throttle, brake and clutch axles to use the CSP and edit the gears as well to use the TH8 as well. I didn't change any FFB setting so it's just like ISI set it up for everyone.
