Nothing wrong with the photographing, but the tandem is way too close. Doesn't look good and is dangerous. Kinda ruins the shot.
Nice distances between the cars, matching angles... Awesomeness in a picture. Shame that the IS has a wing on it though.

But honestly, I kind of understand where you're coming from, in general terms...however, I don't think eddy is too close in that particular shot. That's perfect "high five" distance. On the proper corner, a good driver can get that close without too much effort or danger. I've seen dozens of videos of people (eg BURST) drifting that close in real life, especially in missiles.
Again, great shots eddy, those were some fun tandems
Edit: forgot to add....the camera angle disguises it somewhat, but there is actually a good 8-10 inches between eddy's Miata and my FC.

Who's arguing??? There's a difference between arguing, and having a discussion from two differing points of view. That's the problem around here...as soon as two people have a difference of opinion on something, someone gets butt-hurt right away and an argument erupts.
I respect and understand Dom's opinion on the photo, but I also respectfully disagree. No arguing though.

Wait, I'm confused now....please clarify, but are you implying that if it was you and Lukas, or you and Bahaa in the photo, the proximity would be acceptable - bit since it's Eddy and myself, it's unacceptable, dangerous, and ruins the photo??
Wouldn't be the first time I didn't understand one of your posts....

No no... I said that people don't get the chance to get that close to my door... Unless it's one of those 3
Because I trust them you know... With other people I start either making mistakes, or get annoyed. I really don't like it when people get that close. Still, I know that during matsuri events the point is to get close. But even during matsuri events, that take 4 hours or more, I wont touch others more than once. (Highly unlikely anyway.)
I guess, it was meant for me. Logically, now I'm back she wants to start trouble again.

I thought you could do that there instead of making another thread about it where people will post about how they don't agree with someone followed by statements of how that person is wrong and it's not an arguement but a discussion and has someone say "what else is there to do on GTP" which ignores the rest of the forum uncluding the rumble strip, car forum, other games, the photomode section and other areas.

I thought you knew the difference between pictures of cars (standing still, drifting, doesn't matter), and tandems. Yes, tandems are made up by 2 cars... But a picture of a drift car doesn't necessarily mean it's in tandem. Get it?
Now, the topic that rose after the pictures were shown is quite a useful topic in the drift community, so why you are making fun of it, I really don't get it...

So shall we make a blue drift car thread? Since the Show your drift car contains green, yellow, red, white ones... should be usefull, maybe someone is just looking for blue cars... who knows?

Obviously "what else is there to do on GTP" was a joke... It was aimed at the generally uptight nature of certain individuals found on the forum, and by looking at your reply, it seems you may be one of them. Maybe you ignored the rest of post where I contributed some nice (IMO) tandem drift photos as requested by the OP. A free car is on the table, so why not...
If you have a problem with the thread, just don't click on it. If you have something to add to the topic, great... Let's see some tandem photos.

Have you ever considered I might consider your driving style a handicap? Don't tell me I'm in any way handicapped just because you don't agree with what I think... I consider defensive driving, even while drifting, far more important that those 2 inches. And frankly... When you're in a tandem with more than one other car... You won't get that close or you will ruin the tandem.

If you lot would like I can make a thread about Tandem Drifting so we can all discuss what we think is acceptable and what we think is not. I think it has great potential to be a hopefully interesting topic as long as we all keep it civil.
(I know "Tandem logic" covers this in a way. But a self contained thread about the definition of tandem would allow for a proper discussion without it going off topic)
However, this thread is about photography is Tandem Drifting. So let's try and keep it that way.
