NASCAR 09 gives me some extra team influence. Trouble with this is that you'll need to have a proper team model. So this is what a similar model would work for GT5:
Advanced Team Model Concept - (Only for Championship Series and Endurances)
You may choose to bring your own team. If you don't have a team, then you may be invited to join certain teams and race pre-made cars. You have no control over making performance upgrades since the car will be provided to you. You can, however, tune cars and change up parts. You may pick up a signing bonus. Racing with the team will yield you extra money for winning races. No car is needed, but there may be license and race requirements to join a pre-made team. How PD would do this would differ between pre-made teams and existing teams you've downloaded to your PS3. As with a past concept in another thread, you can be able to stay with certain teams or purchase other teams. Teams you purchase will give you the opportunity to fully turn around a team and reconfigure team colors and sponsors. Of course, you can still change up team sponsors for your own personal team as well as team colors. Here is an example of changing around a past team:
ORIGINAL TEAM AT SALE: red/black/white team colors with Loctite sponsorship
RECONFIGURED TEAM: green/gold/white with Waste Management sponsorship
That is my model inspired by the EA Sports' NASCAR games. What I wouldn't be sure of is if you can take away an existing team online that sold the team to be auctioned online for you to take over and use. Feel free to keep expressing team concepts should they be introduced in GT5.
(OFF-TOPIC) There was a Gaming Update on "X-Play" a few nights ago about actions taken for so-called "HALO porn" in which mods or images with such images would be taken off, and certain people would be banned for about a month or so. Fact of the matter is... this is the Internet. EVERYTHING has to be porn. You know... automotive porn, Gadget Pr0n (an "Attack of the Show!" segment), and the like. I don't buy into thos pop culture thing. How does this relate to team logos and such? It just shows you can never truly limit images. It will all have to come down to server administrators and such to determine which images are acceptable for team logos and car graphics. That's even if you have a very small image of some sort of explicit content just to somewhat get away with having a foul image from an otherwise okay-looking car.
As they say... boys will be boys.
