if anyone is on lfs and wants to drift while im on here or the ps3 let me know because I can host a private server for demo, s1, or s2 users

if you have a g27 the game is fun, but if you have a dfgt. Its going to be hard. This game isn't like gt5 you actually want to/have to use the clutch. if your rev's are falling down try clutch kicking, if its happening too often shift into a lower gear or change your transmission setting. Also high psi isn't going to help very much. I prefer higher psi in the back and lower and its mild.

Also, the handbrake is your friend, use it. Before you start ripping the handbrake make sure you clutch in before you pull it so you don't stall and also tap the handbrake instead of just yanking it. It doesn't like right away (like a real handbrake) but you can feel the tires freezing.

Another thing is you will feel the car, the first 2 days on lfs for me were terrible, I hated the game. I could not drift at all. But after half a week past I learned how to drift and my god it is fun.

I'm using a G25. I tried a DFGT one day on GT5 and I absolutely hated it!!! :sly:

Don't worry, I drift in real life so I know all about clutch kicking, hand-braking and other techniques. I was actually very impressed with LFS when I tried drifting last night. I was able to drift no problem but it was just the initiating was abit lame as I had to steer the wheel myself rather than it helping to countersteer as I flicked the car into the corner or pulled the handbrake

I used just a locked diff for the time being until I get the hang of it and start messing around with the tuning more and once I changed the ratio to a 4.7, it was pretty good in third.


Even just playing the game for an hour or so doing the training bits to get a feel for it and abit of drifting I thought it was excellent.

Only gripe I have however is the maximum 36 degree steering lock is retarded!!! My real car has something between 50-70 for f%$k sake! :grumpy:


Its just the wheel not working for me that was spoiling it for me to be honest. Can anybody help me set it up right, I presume its either my FFB in the game thats not right (too strong, I had it at 200, lol) or the setting for the G25 on my pc is wrong on the driver.


And lastly... Anybody want to give me an E30 to play with? :)
Would be awesome if somebody had some files for one with an 220bhp 318iS, 250bhp E36 328, E34 M5 and E46 M3 engines :sly:

Not my favourate car and not the greatest photo because I couldn't keep the car going smoothe because I have a bit of a hangover :P

And for some reason the save keeps forgetting small stuff, like the carbon bonnet and the aftermarket wheels, hence the stock ons in this pic.
 
Powell do it in photo mode. I need one with your driver in front or behind or whatever.

Watch OP, I put a picture of me on so you have an example. You don't have to do exactly the same, you can choose the positions and the area.

LOL, you don't need to be sorry all this happened because of your good will. We can't wait till you're back ! You got the DLC ? Its today in America.

Nice session today guys, I guess I should stay the leading car from now on lol. But I love to chase. My problem is that my FD is a bit too fast, I should have used my 350 as well, its setup great for me. However I did cape ring forwards with that 4xx HP lol. Im not sharing too much for the visitor ! Its over 450 and of course under 500 since its my VDC car.
