@hellZfirE
Here's my race with Windfire. It was INTENSE.

This was the top room for Points Race 1. Oh and sorry but the first lap was cropped. Nothing eventful there really anyway.

While managing my Youtube videos, I came across some good races I had back in the closed beta days I was previously not really allowed to share. So now it's here. And it happens to be another super close race with Windfire!

And here's a shorter higlight of an awesome finish at Nordschliefe where I went three wide on the back straight with some Japanese players. Super fun stuff.

Well, for my first race I qualified first for the Nationals. I ended up winning the race with a 10+ second lead. My manufacturer race went a lot less smoothly. I qualified for 6th, I was shoved of by a Brazilian on my second lap. I ended up finishing in 16th place. I was fairly disappointed...

First Nations Cup race on Interlagos with the Nissan GTR, qualified 1st by 2 tenths. 1:42.3

Was nervous as **** come the start of the race but started the race strong with an initial 2 second lead on the first lap due to 2nd place getting hounded by the guys behind him.

Ended the race even stronger, 6 seconds in the lead and beat my qualifying time with a FL of 1:41.5

Only got 247 points :\

Did manufacturers cup today. Very dirty got rear ended and got a ten second penalty. Finished 14th. Really disappointed at how dirty some people are. Yesterday was a great experience today on the other hand. Can’t understand why people have to use other cars as brakes especially when I tap my brakes to warn you. Blocking is also annoying.

My first race was for Nationals at Kyoto, qualified 19th of 19 and placed 9th for 89 points, at DR D and SR B. I was pushed into the wall at the hairpin near the end by someone who was never going to make the corner, and copped a 10 second penalty. Being my first qual of this style I didn't slow the penalty off straight away, and though all my later laps were better, my worst time was counted - is this this a Nations cup feature or a pentaly feature of FIA races? I worked up through the last places nice and clean, though a couple of taps from behind impeded my time, though was able to work those off. I was surprised to receive a few orange SR notices for being sideswiped after the apex of a corner without receiving a time penalty, I had made corner and racer behind me dove late and just managed to get me, but ended up in the wall behind me.

My second race for Manufacturers cup glitched - as soon as the race started I received an N - xxx network error. Just to see if it would, I joined the next race, though it wouldn't let me match. After a restart, the option to even enter was greyed out, as would be expected.

My 2nd nationals was at Interlagos, qualified 9th and finished 6th (?) for 89 points. During qualifying, I was out 3rd and was pushed around dramatically by another GTR, (letgo 55 or something?) big rams during a fight on the straight etc, hoped I wouldn't be near him on the grid. I lost a few positions trying to stay clean in the scuffle at the start, though after gaining a few places I caught the 55 guy using some interesting tactics that seemed to work for him. He was using the same shoving he used on me and would eventually gain position and block heavily. This was great for my position too, I passed a few of the people he left behind on the grass. He had a little pace on me, however he must have been using the sticks on the DS4 (I am on DS4 too, but using MS) as he wasn't cornering smoothly and I made up a little time that way. However, when he was 3rd I took an opportunity to pass and got put on the grass. I ended up in 9th with 5 seconds ahead and behind me. Shoulda just kept behind him! Was a pity to see someone trying to game the SR system, he didn't finish with any penalty either.

My second Manufacturers race at Blue Moon had to be signed with Nissan after driving my own R32 for a while. I qualified 9th and finished 13th for 49 points. I worked my way up a few postions, but on the 3rd got my tail knocked out, was going to be a spin for sure if I was still on sticks, but the MS counter steers really well, I thought I might hold my position after not spinning/ hitting wall, but a large group held more speed through the corner and I was 15th after it. Had a good fight for some positions, and could tell there were some people using sticks, they still still had a little pace on me though.

Ended up qualifying second place in the blue moon race today. Most of the people were rated b b but there were a few CB rated players as well... I was bb...

For the first 10 laps it was really close with me going from 1st to 4th and back and forth with a group of people. There really weren't too many bumps at all and everyone was racing pretty darn clean pretty close, one guy did get tail whipped on the first turn though but he was away from me.

Ended up putting in some hot laps after drafting behind the guy and got myself a comfortable lead where I couldn't be drafted around lap 12th and then ended up with a 6 second first place victory.

I got 486 points out of it and a little over $125,000.

Going to take a break for an hour or two before I do the other race, I've never shooken so much in my life while racing in real life or playing any kind of video game. Way too much adrenaline.

Got bumped out of second place, and couldn't recover. Set the fastest lap in the race though, so that was satisfying. Got bumped around some more, got some time penalties, dropped to the back. That was my race. Will have to defend the position a bit better for the start next time.

For the Nations Cup yesterday it was a pretty solid experience. Qualified 4th and ended up finishing second after a very fair and challenging fight with first. No complaints there.

Today's race at the tri-oval was sort of a flop. Eight out of ten cars were VW Golf VGT's. I guess they dominate the leader boards? Pretty lame. I had a back and forth with an Alfa for 12th and 13th, and because of this we were never able to catch the group of VW's just out of draft distance.

Happy with the Interlagos race. Representing Honda, I just missed pole and started second. Went wide in one single corner, and due to the nature of the twisties at the end and the final corner being pivotal for the uphill run onto the straight I managed to lose about five or six places. T-T Managed to finish 4th.
Had a weird instance where the cars ahead of me started to lag jitter going into a corner side-by-side, and even though I was a car length behind and never made contact my SR dropped.

One more thing. I thought the Manufacturers Cup started today, but the leader board shows me as missing rd. 1 and having just finished rd.2. Did I miss something or is there an error?

Just did second round of both Nations and Manufacturers yesterday

Manufacturers race was horribad, cause I really didnt have any practice on Interlagos, qualified actually LAST, but finished 15th lol

The nations' race was super fun, qualified 6th, and was 5th for a long while with the 4th place man, but the front 3 were broken away by 2 seconds, decided to bump draft the guy in front (in sacrificed of SR), to chase the lead pack, and it worked !! We caught up to the front 3, but we went out of laps, although we both moved up.

LOL my SR dropped a full grade after that from S to A

Did my first maufacturer’s race yesterday. Had a bad qualifying with only one good flying lap but still qualified second. Lobby was all SR:S, DR mostly A/B (I’m at C/S at the moment). Switched positions with first and led for 4 or 5 laps, then he made a clean pass after a mistake from me and I couldn’t get back by, ended up second. I didn’t check how many points I got, I’ll look tonight.

I once again got a very high level room yesterday.

In Interlagos with group 4 cars, i was really bad on qualifying. I qualified only 8th, but got a couple of places back and finished 5. @Windfire1010 @Doodle and @gtr3123 had an amazing battle for the win the whole race, Doodle managing to get it in the end.

On Blue moon group 3 cars, i qualified in 8th again, and finished 6th. Lost ground on the leading group of cars right on the first couple of laps, and couldnt do more than finishing 6th.

Got plus 1000 points in both races.

Yeah I'm not sure how the points work.
I was racing in a lobby of DR:B / SR:A for manufacturers cup in my Mazda.
I qualified 3rd with a mediocre 1.43.1 (my fastest lap in free practice was a 1.42.1 (which I'm pretty happy with as the fastest Mazda was 1.40.9)

I made a small mistake going wide on turn 1 on lap 2 so I fell about 2 seconds back of P1/P2 which put me in a battle with P4 for most of the race.
I ended up setting fastest lap with a 1.42.4, and after P4 and I switched places a couple times I put a couple fast laps together and he went wide on a corner which opened up a 2 second lead for me.

I hunted P1/P2 the last couple laps, but was not able to fully bridge the 3 second gap and ended exactly where I qualified, finishing 1.5 seconds back of P1/P2 who were separated by .2

I figured with the best times being low 1.40's and finishing 3rd, solid laps + fastest lap I'd get like 500 points, nope. 224 points.

I'm not sure how the points system works, but it seems like you'd be better off driving in a lower skill lobby and winning.

Class C/S with Japanese Manufacturer CUP today at BH. Pretty close racing and mostly clean. I got hit but its a race incident.

So I guess I'll post these here instead of the general video thread. My experience so far has been very good in the 4 races I've done. I've only seen mostly clean racing and had no issues with bugs or disconnects. Had some very close battles on every race as well which is good, matchmaking seems to work very well. Here are my videos with some info about the races. :)

The first round in test season 1 of the FIA GT Nations Cup, racing with the Volkswagen Scirocco Gr.4 at Kyoto Yamagiwa. Very close race for 2nd place though 1st was way out of reach. Happy to take 2nd though after the other person made a mistake and went off track.

The first round in test season 1 of the FIA GT Manufacturer Series, racing with the Subaru WRX Gr.3 at Suzuka. Pretty nice race though i did up making a mistake which costed me some places. I received one back after someone else made a mistake and tried to fight for 2nd place after that. I kept getting close but small mistakes on my side meant I had to keep gaining time over and over again. Unfortunately I couldn't gain enough anymore in the end and had to settle for 3rd.

The second round in test season 1 of the FIA GT Nations Cup, racing with the Volkswagen GTI VGT Gr.3 at Blue Moon Bay. Very exciting race at the oval. It was key to stay close to the front group after a bad qualifying session and I managed to do so while we created a gap to the group behind us. Managed to overtake a few and get overtaken again as well after having to brake for people in front of me. Was quite a difficult but fun and surprisingly clean race.

The second round in test season 1 of the FIA GT Manufacturer Series, racing with the Subaru WRX Gr.4 at Interlagos. By far the best FIA race I've had so far, for 9 laps straight Eugenizer and me had a battle for first place. It was hard to keep up with his Mazda on the straights but in the corners my WRX kept getting close. He ended up running wide in corner 1 which gave me the advantage on the next straight outbraking him on the inside of the next corner. After that point I had to keep defending many corners untill he received a penalty for running a bit wide in corner 2 of the last lap. I then created a small gap and won my first ever FIA race. :)

Going to prepare for todays races now, lets see what happens. :P

Ahhhhhhh! My heart is ringing like a bell! I just won the nation's race with 6 or so of the top 10 drivers in it including the quickest in the leaderboard by just 0.025!

That's was awesome felling

Isn't taking an axe to them a bit off?

This is awesome to watch because yesterday I did my Manufacturer race and finished 3rd. However, my whole race was hounded by the bright yellow WRX STI and it was me driving the Mazda, I noticed the same thing, through the corners he seemed to catch me, but I could pull away in the straights.

You were much faster though, I qualified with a 1.43.1 and set fastest lap of the race with a 1.42.4 (fastest I went in free practice was 1.42.1)

Today's Nations Cup.

I was pretty comfortable with the Aston and even went for the race without TCS this time. I had no issues when doing time trial and so, everything was looking good.

This was the lobby I got in:

Great, I thought. This is going to be, finally a good race for me! And by good I don't mean winning. I mean, having fun and feeling I'm in control of the car and not hostage of some weird game glitch or bug or stupid penalty.

All was going well until lap 7. I was 7th. 2 drivers in front were a bit slow for the corner and I went for the inside. Risky move, for sure. But when I was already finished with the pass and slowly went for the straight, the car spun. As you can see below, I wasn't even full throttle.

I have been complaining since GTS released that I get 0 feedback from the wheel about the wheel spin and to make things worse, the counter steering is freeking slow. I turn my wheel to correct it but the car simply ignores the input until it's too late.

Finished 11h. It was a pretty good race, everyone was clean and there were no accidents or penalties whatsoever that I've seen. Props to everyone racing at least in front of me.

The lack of feedback from the wheel and the slow counter steering is annoying as hell. I can't predict what the car will do if I want to push it to the limit, thing I could do with no issue in previous GTS.

Am I the only one seeing this or do I just suck at catching and correcting cars in GTSport?

I don't think there was any saving this, to me it looks like you gave it too much gas while coming off the curb, the change in elevation spins your car off left as soon as your right rear touches track. You were also turning left while all this happened - I think a straighter line saves this.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I've had little to no issue noticing wheel spin on a controller and counter steering to correct.

Today was my first time, started 7th, finished 6th in a crazy race at Dragon Trail II. A guy called ChapmanScoop crashed into me twice at turn 1, he basically braked into me on lap 1 and 2. I found myself into the gravel twice, he managed to finish 3rd somehow...oh, and I got a SR down as well...

So so so much better today, can’t say why but I got pole in both races, managed to stay a good 2-3 seconds ahead in the manufacturer race and just drove within myself, nice and clean for an easy win, fantastic result considering how poor I am around brands and in a gr 3 car... avoided all the chaos and no-one tried any silly moves from a mile back... Got pole for the other race too but alas the 2 Danes behind me were .5s a lap quicker on average, managed a nice move to get up to second for a lap or two but couldn’t defend it against a better driver... 3 poles, 2 wins and a fastest lap out of my 3 races today... It’s a mess at times but my god when this game works it awesome...

Today in Manufacturers Cup I got matched with D/S drivers while I'm A/S. Finished with 41 seconds gap. Because of this I got 108 points instead of something around 1000 in my league.

Thanks a lot PD. Great work as always.

That sucks, I'm driving at B/A and yesterday I got matched with mostly DR: C/D drivers. The top 4 were all pretty quick (running 1.42-1.43 laps), but there was a 20 second gap between 4th and 5th. I qualified and finished 3rd and only got 220 points while also having fastest lap. I feel like if I had been matched with faster drivers but finished 8th I would've easily got more points.

Of course you would... this is bull****

Yeah... :D except that one thing where Tsracing Zoky didn't brake enough and sent me in the dirt :ouch:

Maybe. But it didn't feel like it was spinning or losing grip until it was too late and then I turned the wheel to the right but couldn't even avoid the barrier. :/ Well it's over now maybe tomorrow will be better.

I think less A/S people are participating in the Manufacturers Cup due to the obvious difference amomg cars. I gave up the Gr.4 races because the M4 sucks. Will try the Gr.3 races with the M6 but I'm sure other people won't.

The Manufacturers Cup is a joke tbh. If you signed for the right brand, you can win. If you signer for the wrong one, you better stay off because you will probably lose positions on track and maybe lower your DR.

@Lord Protector Didn't see that. You were too far in front ^^. That sucks. You had a cracking Qualifying lap though. I wanna see it. :D
