First time I started the game up I disabled online and haven't re-enabled it since considering the servers are always offline.

The launcher is was broken before the update. It would always say offline when it was in fact online. Stop making excuses .

Steam isn't mentioning anything of an update.

EDIT: Nevermind. Everything updates through the launcher just as it did for the beta. Of course.

Clubs are supposed to be fixed today, at least on the PC side of things. My Atari name is Joey_D and the club is GTPlanet, feel free to join up and if I have to accept anything I will tomorrow afternoon since I'll be out of town the rest of today and tonight.

When i enter Joey_D in the friend search, it says player doesn't exist. Is your atari id for PS3 or PC or X360 ?

Tried and not found, that was yesterday, and the clubs were not available too, so i presume it's still a server thing

The club doesn't exist Joey, although when I search for the name it says it's already taken. I think I'm going to create a temporary club called the 'GTPlanet club' in the meantime. In game name is GTR34mh, so adding me there may make it easier to find the club, as there's no search for club by name option, which is dumb.

EDIT: Also, the club is located up towards the north-eastern tip of Hawaii. To upgrade to the next level (and acquire garage spaces for club cars), we'll need to collaboratively raise 5 million dollars...

Shouldn't be too hard to level up to ten, finishing the 'tutorial' stage of the game makes you level 5 or so as is anyway. Then it's only a bit of exploring or racing away from Hawaii...

Actually, it the game had a bug where it'd give you back your money twice. You'd create a club and give it a known name, and it'd immediately refund you and then it'd refund you again when you hit "OK". Essentially, it'd give you $50,000 for free. And yeah, wouldn't take that long to build up a LOT of money really fast. One could earn enough to buy everything in the game in a matter of an hour or so.

Clubs are finally working, I sorted by club name, but there is no club that begins with "GTP" anything.
