If your point is that you 'don't want people talking while your driving', you're still missing the point.
Voice chat is a better communication system. Text works, but You and Solar could do the same, and more, with voice, and it would be easier to include more people. Like I said, 30+ people racing 'together', and we do it 3 nights a week.
Voice communication is very much realistic in racing. It's even more of reality in the world of online gaming.
Being that prologue is limited in its online funtctions, voice keeps everyone on the same page. If a room is dumped, or we get split up, getting back in sync is simple. It also allows us to give our friends a heads up about 'dirty' drivers making their way through the field in an unfriendly manner.
And, if the little bit of radio chatter there is does bother you (remember, we have respect for other drivers, so we keep the non race related chatter to a minimum, so really, all you get is race info...it's just like having a few spotters.) you can have all the advantages of instant vocal communication and organization between races, then you can mute the room when the race starts. 💡
So, you don't have to put up with the aspects you don't like, but you can improve your experience. Voice chat>text chat. It's technology.
Well put. There are times when we come across drivers that are blocking or bumping others of the track. We can't warn anyone immediately, so I can see how this would help others. Other times when one of us would have to stop, because of doorbells, phone etc..... Causing everyone to stop. If we have live communications that would prevent a lot of this issues. And that's just speaking of non racing related issues. I can see where forgeful is coming from. In any case I must try this out. Unfortunately most of my in game friends are fossils like myself and we just don't like learning how to use new things lol. Forgetful, if you could guide me to where I can learn how to use it, would be wonderful.. I already have the necessary hardware. Thanks..
