TF Photohut - All Comments Are Welcomed! [11.18 - A Series of Farewells, Week 3]

You think so? I think it's below average, but then again I seem to have the problem with GT5's photomode that I have with no other in that nothing ever really looks good to me anymore.

Perhaps I'm simply spoiled by games like pCARS.

Well...I guess the only way to fix that would be to play nothing but NFS3 HP for a while :D

I personally like the first one. The blue/yellow contrast is nice. The softness in the second one is very well done. But we do need to talk about your picture sizes...

It's a habit, and I can never be bothered to do full-sized redirects.

That 2nd Golf picture is awesome, well done! ;)

Thanks!

:P

I've had quite a good session with the BRZ, so there's still hope.

Totally second this. It's really good and the colour really pops. 👍

Many thanks. I am trying to get back into the swing of things and it seems to be working for the most part. I just hope I can keep it up...

I love the whole BRZ set! Specially n3. BRZ with bodykit and stock wheels

She is quite the looker. :D

Nice work, Michael; really liking the saturation in these pictures.

Thanks. I was looking through some of older sets and found the GT86 set with the incredibly vibrant blue, so I set out to recreate it. I'm not particularly fond of some of the pictures but I'm still getting back into the swing of things with GT5.

Cool pics , but it looks a bit over exposed or vibrate.

That was precisely the point, not so much overexposure (where do you see that?) but more so with the vibrancy.

The 2nd BRZ and that GolfR shots are awesome :)

Thanks. :D

First shot looks really badass!

Believe me, I stumbled onto that shot while looking for another.

Agree. Very agressive. 👍

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I agree too.

And nice angle on the second one :)

Thanks! Unlike the first shot, that one was intentional.

The lighting in the third picture is what makes it my favourite from the latest set. 👍

I was aiming for an entirely different effect with that one, but I'm pleased with the result nonetheless.

Great BRZ set, plus the golf picture ;)

With that Golf shot I was originally going to do a weather theme, but I couldn't settle on anything that looked pleasant to me. Next time, I hope.

Wow. I love the colours in the last two sets, especially the BRZ. Nice work.

Thanks, I'm getting back into the groove of things... albeit slowly, but getting back all the same.

While I'm not a fan of the extreme softness found in the first picture (the paint looks great, though!), I really like the depth of field and overall sharpness in the second one. Good work. 👍

Kinda agree with the softness, it's a little too much. But it is a nice colour on the car. 👍

Can't say it better so, once more, i totally agree with my comrades above. Great work !

Noted. I can see the criticism now, having looked at it several times.

Nice color choice! Second one looks awesome!

Glad you like them. I'm still at the "It could be a lot better than that!" stage.

BkS
Love your shots, but they seem "soft" round the edges. Great work nonetheless.

Yeah, I'm experimenting with a lot of different styles now and I can never settle on one so I'll usually end up editing the same shot several times, and even then...

----

I took four shots for the current set but only ended up using the two above because the others, to me, are crap.

I must admit that the car looks very clean in the first picture and the camera angle is good, too, but I just can't warm to the background colours and the blur itself.

The second picture is definitely better, in my opinion. The NSX's carbon fibre body is showcased very well due to a nice close up, overall clarity and good lighting. 👍

Pretty much agree with GT-R. The second shot is not bad, the tight crop makes seem aggressive. Still a bit glowy for my liking but that more a personal taste thing.

Not much more to add to what has been said before, I'd just like to add that when I said, earlier in the thread, that the pictures are too small I actually meant that I'd like to see a full size version linked somewhere. The images actually displayed in the thread are just fine for a forum. Any bigger would border on too big.

I like the second picture. I'm not usually a fan of bloom, but strangely I think it works really well with that particular type of image.

Just say "it sucks, stupid!" and get out.

I'm really getting back into the groove of things now that I'm more familiarized with what I used to do when editing photos, but the problem now is that I'm having a wee bit of trouble incorporating everything else that I've learned since then into the process... and, well, the results are what you guys have been seeing thus far. Some good, some bad, some in-between.

I'll be doing some artistic things once I get a handle on things again, but I can definitely work that in.

I love that golf shot!

Thanks, even though I'm not entirely sure which one you're referring to. :P

Too much formatting work. Don't forget that Michael is old and be happy about the fact that he actually changes his font colour.

:P

Hey!
