There has been lots threads as regards cars, tracks, damage and release date, however again not a single thread to say thank you for a hard working guy who had a vision, and also the team that works with him.

Therefore i will start by saying a big Thank You to Kazunori Yamauchi and The Team for all the hard work and dedication to producing GT5, that is almost up on us.

So come on guys and gals, time to show some manners and say thank you.

I actually made on of these thread a while ago when things were looking a bit grim.. now it's all sunshine and i too want to give a big thanks and show my respect to all the hard working people at PD and the people around them that have put their energy and passion into the game/franchise.
If someone of sony or PD is reading this thread, please be sure to send it out to the staff as a reminder that even though we might be whining till no end sometimes, it really is appreciated that they actually listen to their fans (damage anyone?).

I will really thank them by buying the game once it comes out, they will appreciate that ;)

I would like to say the same. Thank you Kaz, for all your hard work with GT over the years, and giving me something to do! GT5 - or, rather, the E3 trailer - reignited my flame for cars, and now I'm looking to get a career as a driver in some way or another :)

Thanks for all the sleepless nights thinking about Gran Turismo,
thanks for all the dreams about it,
but thanks for all the hard effort.
Bring me the game, and I'll show you money

I'll be happy to thank you Kaz/Crew and Sony with my credit card purchases of the game and a PS3 when GT5 surpasses the hype that will undoubtly follow it until its release. Outside of that, I'll thank them for the original GT, which was truly visionary and for GT2 which was GT on steroids. No thank yous going out for $GT3$ or $GT4$. As much as I love both of them and would never trade, sell or give them away, hindsight shows me that they were cash cows - One a system seller and the other keeping a system alive.

Some people said - "PD should first release the game and then we will thank them by buying the game".

On one hand - I do agree with those people, "how could you thank for something that you didn't see or try???".

On the other hand - We all know that PD and Kaz himself are driven by a VISION. And unlike any other games/brands which release a new game every one or two years, PD are working towards a target & vision and not towards dates. Of course we would all be happy if the game would have been release tomorrow (or one year ago...), but as GT fans we want & expect to have a quality product and that was PD & Kaz have in mind.

So I also would like to thank PD & Kaz for their vision of concentrating on the game itself and how a real racing game should look like and I believe that GT5 will fulfill my expectations and beyond 👍

Do they even know this place exists?
If so do they come here?
If so, do they even know what we are saying?

Thank You very much Polyphony Digital!

...after you let me so down with GT4 without decent Online-mode, and GT5P with poor one, I decided to buy Game-PC and find out how are things in real racing-sims! 👍

I wrote something similar to that in another forum after seeing the E3 trailer:

Thank you Sony and Polyphony Digital, for giving a handicapped person like me, who will never be able to drive a car in real life, the opportunity, to live his car passion through Gran Turismo.

thank to them to do the best racing game ever....

i hope i will thank them also when i will buy gt5, cuz if it will be bad (impossible:sly:) i will hate them....👍

i thank them everytime i post, i read news, spend an hour lookin for a tiny bit of info, every time i buy a new edition or convince a dozen of my friends to pick up the game, i thank them evvery time i see a skyline on the streets on montreal, and integra type-r J's, i been thanking them since i was 10 when gt1 came out and with every hour i spend playin the series (more than 10000 hours i estimate) so just as many thank yous

Hypothetically, if they didn't know GT Planet existed or knew and never visited, they would be so out of touch with the strongest community of GT players. If PD's life blood is GT, then, I go as far to say that PD should have a full-time employee who monitors the pulse GT players worldwide by being active member or the ultimate lurker of GT Planet.

I would like to thank him and his team for all the hard work they put into the simulator. They only do what they believe in and do not hold themselves to some sort of time frame.

I would also like to take this chance to thank them for GT 1-4

KY has said they have staff to do just that

-Me: how do you get the feedback from the gamres of the game ?

-K.Y: we have a staff that surfs the internet specially looking for such detailes, collected from reviews, forums ....etc.

-Me: is it these informations taken only from japanese gamers?

K.Y: No, we also look into europe and the u.s gamres

I think the fact they've got about £200 of my money in their pockets is more than enough. Why are we saying thanks for? We haven't got the game yet. It might be pants.

Strange thread.

Yep, we can't make a verdict yet, as others have mentioned previously.

Thanks Yamauchi, hadn't been for you I wouldn't have been able to know as much as I know today about cars. Maybe I would continue thinking that 4x4 meant the car steered with its four wheels at the same time  But you gave us a good excuse for staying in our houses most of the time.

Then again, I could still be as ignorant as I was four years ago. And why not, you gave me a good reason to learn proper english by introducing me to GT2 and (by extension) to GTPlanet

I would like to Thank PD and Kazunori Yamauchi. My first ever time on the Nurburgring Nordschleife was beyond amazing, because of the number of times I drove that track in GT4. The person from whom we rented the car went, (in a very german accent) "hmmm... So is this really your first time on the 'Ring? You must be playing a lot of Gran Turismo, I think, because I never seen someone be so good on the first try on this lap."
I think THAT coming from a Man who has driven more than 6000 Laps around the Nordschleife, is the Perfect Compliment. All I can do is, say THANK YOU! :)

I just thank Kazunori Yamauchi and is Team for the last Polyphony games (GT1, GT2, GT3, GT Concept, GT4P, GT4, GT5P and Tourist Trophy), because they are unique and its a fantastic job.

Do not forget that some information on GT5 has been delivered very slowly which makes the fans like me very inpacientes ... and is big TORTURE.

When Kazunori Yamauchi give us a release date of GT5 I will say THANK YOU !
