That George Lucas, ya gotta love him...NOT

I hate George Lucas.

Have I said that before? I think I have.

The latest offence committed by this sub-human concerns the fourth Indiana Jones movie, for which Frank Darabont (dir. The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) wrote a script. Apparently Steven Spielberg, a man who has REAL integrity and brings out movies more than once every 20 years, loved the script and was ready to start production. But, not surprisingly, Lucas hated it and halted everything. Now the two are discussing what, if anything, to do now. Because of Mr. George Lucas, we may never see this movie made.

I hate George Lucas.

Coming up on 2 days and no replies? I figured someone would jump in here by now. :dopey: I don't necessarily hate him but he is a pain in the ass. It's about time we come to the realization that George hates everything and hopefully will go through with the next installment if Indy, but if he doesn't...so be it. :guilty:

I don't necessarily think it's worth expending too much energy over. Perhaps it has something to do with being worn out by all the instances of this sort of thing happening, or perhaps it has something to do with being worn out by talking about it.

If you want a new Indiana Jones movie, why don't you make one yourself? We know George Lucas is a ****. *****ing about him won't change that.

Heihachi
He’s looking more like Jaba the hut every day.
So true!! His chin is nonexistant...I'm just waiting to see an interview with him and have him grab a frog out of a jar and swallow it right in the middle of it all, then go on as if nothing had happened. You know it's coming. Jabba wasn't completely made up; Lucas based some of his characters on people he knew...or who he was!!

I don't like George lucas cause he messed up the entire star wars universe that he created. Totally jacked up the first three episodes, IV, V and VI with all the extra garbageCG thrown in for no reason. Then we had to wait an extra 10+ years for them on DVD. What kinda garbage is that!

Lucas has had a part in a lot of good stuff. Including INdy, Willow and others. But now he just needs to get out of the way and let someone that can make a movie without every other character being CG.

The guy tinkers too much. I build car models a lot, and one of the lessons I've learned is not to fiddle with the paint job too much, because the more you mess with something, the worse it usually gets.

First of all, I really don't see the point of a fourth Indy movie.

Second, you're right about Lucas. He messes up old movie's that only look less after "the big special effects makeover".
And don't even brings out the original versions on DVD, like Star Wars and THX 1138.

Well, a fourth Indiana Jones movie would be made for one reason, and that's MONEY. If done right, it might be marginally entertaining, but I'm willing to bet it won't approach the originals in quality.

And second, Lucas doesn't bring out the originals because he's trying to alter the past. He thinks that if he doctors his movies and makes them look a lot better, everyone will forget how ****ty they looked when they came out. What he doesn't realize is that no one cared how they looked, because they were awesome the way they were. He's a whore.

I agree...

I would absolutely love to see an Indiana Jones movie directed by Frank Darabont... Also, since pretty much every movie Darabont has directed contained a soundtrack by Thomas Newman (Shawshank, Green Mile, Scent of a woman, etc...), I hope to see another to add to the list...
