That souped up Mini

My number one feature for GT5 would be a livery editor, and kits for cars, so when people pointed out that mini, coming past that sls on the straight on that video was decaled and had a spoiler, I couldn't stop looking at it. Ive made this thread to see if anyone knows if that is a real car, or something that has to be creatable from ingame (I hope it is)

Obviously, it could easily be a 'Concept by GT' which I hope it isn't.

This ones not that clear, but you can kinda see a black stripe between the lights of this yellow lambo.

The only thing is... It's still an R53. No sign of any R56s yet :(

IMO R53's are superior :). I might be biased since i own one, but hey, as long as mine is in the game im happy.

Although to honest, i have recently had the pleasure of driving a brand new John Cooper Works and the power is fantastic, handling not as good as R53 though.

Can someone provide an image? Dont have a clue what this is about.

If not an image... a link to the video?

That is definately not a John Cooper Works. From the looks of it, the spoiler and side skirts, the number decal and the other decals shout out at me that there is some sort of editor in the game.

If no-one can identify it, it's potentially a significant clue to an editor.

BUT what's to say it's not just one of GT's "tuned" cars?

r1600 nice picture! Hadn't seen that one yet, now im even more confident, we need some one from tokyo to show a picture of the race line up, im praying it just says mini cooper, and not tuned, or John Cooper Works

Oh please let this be true/

IF it is let us PRAY that they allow custom image uploading, because i dont want to "work with" cheesy prefab badges and logos, seen too many of those already.

But i can see it now, a whole forum dedicated to showcasing and sharing skins and livs.

The Plate says (Mini) Cooper S.
maybe it's a custom race modified version???, the roof looks like a custom black red and white union jack, or a Dead Kennedys logo.

Race mod, could be but, considering livery editor was set for GTHD, I think im 90% sure now PD just put that unusual mini in the demo to give us a hint for a livery editor, honestly, the march 2010 release doesn't hurt so much knowing we can finaly show of our exterior skills.

That would be pretty awesome. And even if it's just prefabricated badges and logos, it is way better than no editor at all.

But I definitely want to see a full and unrestricted editor.

EDIT: Poster below is right, could be a "Tuned by GT" type car.

Don't get so far ahead just yet, this kinda assuming is what happend with the release, just hold fire with the firworks untill it's confirmed

was just about to make a new thread about this. The evidence is starting to accumulate with these suspicious, unidentifiable cars.

I wouldn't even be disappointed if it's only a very limited editor that allows for simple stripes, numbers and manufacturer's decals.

Maybe the OP could change the title to "Livery editor clues from TGS" or some such. ;)

Here's another potential one:

and I agree, Sivers, I love how PD choose to reveal their work when they decide to unveil it. I'm starting to enjoy watching these new videos. It's like a treasure hunt :D

Im thinking they are more likely to be 'PD concept' cars because if it was a livery editor job surely someone at TGS would have picked up on that by now, im suprised no one has asked KY what they are about!

As for the livery editor, anything short of Forza 3 level would be a dissapointment.

Well every other game is a dissappointment then.
Because forza 3 is god at livery editor.

I didnt really care about the livery editors in those other games because the shelf life of the game itself is probably not going to even last as long as the livery editor! ;) Everyone knows GT is a game which can last half a decade!

Besides Forza's livery editor is pretty much the same as all the others, like the one in MCLA or SCC, its almost like everyone just clones Forza's one!

Robin.

I'd say 75% chance we get livery editor and more tunning. Thats not a JCW or a Challenge, and the GT-R doesnt have a graphic glitch as someone said (you think PD would take a glitched demo to their beloved TGS?). Very possible we get one...If we ever get GT5 .

Well, there Are people who like the idea and will Spend a LOT of Time Doing Liveries, like me:tup:

About the quality, Forza Editor is GOD at Liveries, has some glitches though, like the game itself :/

I want KY to have balls and release a Photoshop Plugin for GT5 livery editor so you'd have a restricted size at which you could work and upload a full texture then to the game via USB or something and then before a race it'd download your custom file once and then it'd stay on your hard drive. That'd be my idea of the perfect livery editor :P
