Yeah the quality isn't the best is it!? I've been having a squint at the video. I agree, it could well be decals, but it seems just as likely to be a scuff.

It's definitely a Gallardo. There's a close view of it's rear at the start of the race. The question is "what is that black stripe?"

I want KY to have balls and release a Photoshop Plugin for GT5 livery editor so you'd have a restricted size at which you could work and upload a full texture then to the game via USB or something and then before a race it'd download your custom file once and then it'd stay on your hard drive. That'd be my idea of the perfect livery editor :P

I totally agree with you Alba, they could even make it so you dont even need a plugin, just download the cars template (orthographic projection) off some GT website which are sized in the pixel size of the car on screen and put whatever you want on it then upload it to the game via USB.

That way there is no need to implement an in game livery editor, but as many have said this will never happen because it would be to easy to break copyright and licencing laws. Basically if your going to make a trademark logo they would rather have to do it the hard way... in game!

Robin.

I think you're the first person in the world to see the NSX in any GT5 build that has been shown on any gameshow .

Not one of my better guesses then.:dunce:

and after a few more looks it clearly is a Gallardo. :)

Well, even if it's breaking trademark, I'd do it in game anyway even the hard way so that's basically the same. It's user generated content so I'm sure they could find a way around it ;-) But it'd save a loooot of time and be truly what people would want on the car without all the disadvantages of Forza, I spend so much time in Forza just actually making one tiny logo or part of something than actually working on a livery, the pad is kinda annoying for this too. That way you'd have better control and less time wasted. Of course it most likely will never happen but well, wishful thinking :D

Yeah its always nice to dream of a day when we will see the 'photoshop livery editor!' ;)

I spent like 2 weeks making 1 livery in MCLA which took ages simply because of trying to create stuff that would be so much quicker to copy and paste! Doing accurate logos and paint schemes is extremely hard especially seeing as modern race cars have so many details on them!

Oh well, I will be happy if GT5's livery equals F3's. Im not really expecting any more than that, PD has enough to sort out as it is!

The black stripe on the yellow Gallardo is a glitch. It disappears when the car gets closer to the camera. The same thing happens with the white Gallardo.

You also see the glitch in the rear view mirror of the Subaru in a video.

I haven't seen any videos of the GT-R, but I think those white marks might be glitches in the damage system. In a video on IGN of the SLS, the top of the hood gets that "instant" scratch thing and makes it pretty much pure white, and it may be the same thing happening to the GT-R.

But only the players car can get damaged and the GT-R was driven by the AI.
It still could be a texture glitch, but it looks more like a design, there are smaller stripes and that big white thing, perfectly aligned.

Would be quite funny, because there are rumors that BMW wants to join the WRC with the Mini, but there was nothing officially unveiled so far afaik.

But it doesnt look like a WRC car to me and the number stickers would be wrong.

Minis will not make good WRC rally cars, the front of the car is too fragile to take on that much force.

ummm....I think they'd be just like the Gulf and the other FWD Rally Cars.

Also, Mini once had a Rally car with similar yellow numbers. I do believe the classic Mini WRC car appeared in Colin McRae 2005.
