Hey guys. I've just learned of a way to test the endurance strength of your...somethingceps.

What you do is take a 1kg weight, and hold your arm outstretched, in line with your shoulders, like a cross or T, with the weight in your hand. I'd like to know some of your guy's maximum times, just to get an idea of what the average idea, and maybe we can set up a weekly competition or something. So, let's see those times! (I'll send mine in once I start improving, I've already quite a few different times on the same arm)

this endurance test would affect your Deltoids.

depending on how people yank their wank, muscle development will be different. most of the time, you can tell by how big or firm the muscles on their hands between their thumbs and index fingers are.

Erm...anyway...this is a test for your shoulders and apparently deltoids, not to see who's the biggest wanker. All it takes is 5-10 mins, if some people could send in times or something...

Haha when I said that I didn't even think about it in that much detail, thanks for explaining though... always good to hear the truth from people who know from experience. ;)

Btw can't we do this with 5 Kg?? I'd probably stop holding it up out of pure boredom with 1 kg.

wow, boredom in its purest form

...

yet at the same time, intriging that it's an interesting form of excercise

Well, I've broken my record each time I do it. Ether I'm rapidly gaining a higher tolerance for pain, or my arm/shoulder muscles are for some reason getting strong really quick.

I just tried it, used an online stopwatch I found when typing stopwatch in google... at 4:15 I thought I started to smuggle too much by bending my arm a little, so that's where I stopped. Left arm, I'm right handed though... but that shouldnt make much of a difference with those muscles.

What the hell. I'l give it a shot tonight. Or this weekend.

I did this this morning. First time out, both arms at the same time - 2:15.

With a 4.4 pound (2 kilo) weight.

I could easily double my time with the 2.2 pound weight. Therefore 4:30 minimum. I'll see if I can find something 1 kilo tonight.

5:13 right, 4:45 left (right = my throwing arm, so shut up! :D)

We should start a competition or something.

I'm down for that. Provided I can find 1 kilo. (No drug jokes). ;)

Anyone know of something common that is 1 kilo in weight?

A liter of water... shouldn't be hard to find unless you live in the sahara. :dopey:

Of course this is hard to participate in for people who aren't used to the metric system.

well...would it be easier to have something thats bigger in size but weighs the same or something smaller in size but still weighs the same?

(aka a paper weight verse a bag of flour)

1 kilo = 2.2 pounds.

There. Now everyone can play. :)👍

So do we have a list of people now?

From what I've gathered it appears to be...

We need advertising/marketing. This is way too small !

can i use 1k discuses? (or discii or however fancy you want to be.)

Erm, yah. You can use anything as long as it weigh 1kg. I've been using a brass candlestick (that I consequently had to widdle down in shop in order to make it exactly 1kg).

Chalk me up for 5 minutes 47 seconds. Both arms, same time. I'll have to try them seperate.

My lord, that stings.

Also, I suggest not looking at the clock, stopwatch, etc. as that can influence your decision to quit or not.
