Those are also car combat games not racing games. Racing is driving faster than your opponents not shooting or destroying their vehicles.

Hopefully not. Reminds me of the Playstation One days and only being able to increase the displacement on Skylines. Was there a logical reason for that besides Skylines being the king of GT2?Just taking a wild guess here, but maybe the Extreme tab of the tuning shop is only for a select few cars that can accept extreme mods, like turning a 919 into a 919 Evo for example, or restoring the AWD of a GT-R LM Nismo (it's listed as an FF in the game, but according to the head engineer, the "Longboi" could have had its hybrid power deployed to the rear wheels). Or, I'm thinking perhaps moving aero parts with manual DRS like the one on the IoM WRX?
I'd imagine the reasoning is that it's something that you can do in real life. Why, what's your problem with it?Hopefully not. A lot of engines can. That's called boring the cylinders.Surely at least one other car in the game can be modified in that way IRL as well.

Two most likely reasons:Indeed. Which was why it was so weird you could only do it with Skylines in the game.
Actually you could do it with the Mini Cooper 1.3i too.Indeed. Which was why it was so weird you could only do it with Skylines in the game.
