Out of your choices, I'd recommend:
Mazda MX-5
Toyota Celica (but be careful, some of those years are sludge prone, so check under the oil filler cap for any type of sludge, if you see more than varnish, avoid at all costs, and when you get one, keep your OCI's modest)
Chevy Camaro
Ford F150
Ford Ranger
Dodge Avenger
Ford Taurus/SHO
Nissan Pathfinder
Toyota MR2 (tough to find them unmolested though)

Not on your list:
1993-2001 Nissan Altima (fantastic cars, the 2.4L engine is bulletproof, no timing belt to replace, etc.)
Toyota Tacoma
Toyota T100
Acura Legend
Acura Integra
Early 90's Toyota Supra

The Supra is out due to alot of factors which includes rarity and availabiliy of one in good shape. The MX-5 is on that list due to being reliable. Legend is out due to find one in good shape and the cost of parts is high.

I would definitely go miata, I'm looking for one also, but not for a DD. SHO also if you can find a decent one, Camaro, maybe even a V-6 auto but maybe not. Theres a lot of stuff on your list, hopefully you can find something. BTW wheres the Prelude love on the list? ;) Maybe even a 4th gen? Lexus SC300 maybe if you dont mind paying for gas a lot. Just throwing stuff out there.

Preludes are hard to come by in good unmolested shape. But, I'd jump at the chance to get one. The Lexus is out, cost of parts.

I DO appreciate the input guys! :D

The V10 is actually a petrol engine based off the 5.4L V8 Triton block. I'd love to put it in the P71--but it weighs almost 200lbs more than the V8 that sits in there currently.

I might forgo the steel wheels in favor of some good black 5-star rims...maybe with the center cap chromed.

Oh, and for grins my '90 Camaro is listed as a "1990 Chev Hatch" and has a symbol rating of 15.

lol.

both my Blazer and 4Runner are listed insurance wise as "wagons". I think even insurers are getting tired of mile high prices...they're not making any profit on some older vehicles, I think

after 13 vehicles, i think I can personally describe some weak points on 3 manufacturers.
Ford: electrical overload faults, tendancy to blow gaskets
GM: mechanical disabling of entryways from use (the rods bend and the latches can't keep grease)
Toyota: extreme vulnerability to rot in Witing harness...due to thin materials (pre 90 at least)

mind, this is American Market vehicles.

I see nothing wrong with any Camaro or Mustang in any trim level NOT being a good daily driver.

I had the crap scared out of me riding in a V6 auto Camaro with a trucker. it had a bad tranny, and the guy, being a trucker, lays rubber

btw, it was the little 2.8!

I didn't think I'd ever hear anyone say 'the Accord is out due to reliability issues.' :)

I thought the same, but read those issues with the transmission and tell me that doesn't scare you.
