Just got The Air of Experience trophy this morning with 772 combined races for my six drivers. None is close to 500. I would say they've probably done fewer than 20 online remote races.

This further supports what Famine said, in that all offline drivers gain experience even if they aren't the ones entered in a race. Also, while you may have only done only 20 or so online b-spec races, perhaps the reason it took over 700 races is that no one driver was kept offline for all of those races?

Just do a few races here and there. If you try to grind it and get frustrated, you will abandon it for a very long time.

I hate grinding. It's too goddamn tedious, and it gets me absolutely nothing from a rise in blood pressure and possibly a broken DS3.

My lead driver has only 106 races under his belt. In fact, I didn't even know about this trophy until today, and I've had this game since 12/1/2010.

It's not wins. It's races.

  • Every offline driver gains "one race" of experience/career every time a B-Spec race occurs on your account
  • Any one driver acquiring "five hundred race" of experience/career gets you the trophy
  • The driver does not have to drive any races
  • No driver needs to win any races
  • Remote races and Seasonal "Online B-Spec Challenge" races give no experience/career to any driver.

I am aware of this but what can i do to make it less tedious I checked youtube there is barley and videos and the one i tried failed got a fan overheated and broke in the first few race the fan was $60. I lost 60$ doing this so no fans in the equation.

You'll notice that not everyone is so similarly blessed - necessitating my response.

That's quite the run-on sentence.

No, there is nothing you can do to make it less tedious. In all probability it should pop up for your very first Bob - so long as he's not been shared or retired - through just playing the game. If not, it's Sunday Cup for you for a few hours.

Pressing "X" to restart a race and wandering off to do something less tedious for five minutes doesn't seem so much of a chore. Perhaps you shouldn't do something so tedious just to get a fifty pixel bronze cup? Games are meant to be fun.

This.

On the other hand, maybe you shouldn't have wasted that $60 fan, and should have gone with this solution in the first place?

If anyone who wants to achieve this trophy happens to have a Nokia N900, this solution is even better.

Except B-Spec seasonals don't count.

oupss i knew that remote race didn't count but they should at least count b-spec online races... that sucks to always do a race that you already won in the b spec career mode..
anyway this is one of the most stupid trophy i ever seen, like the photos you have to take loll, nothing about driving skills

If online mode wouldn't exist i wouldn'T play gt5 since end of december 2010 loll

Getting trophies is part of my fun. I feel I have completed the game when I do. Also I feel a negative vibe from you right now in a weird way.

Pity, because it was coming from me three weeks ago. Perhaps it fell through a Stargate or something.

Online races don't age up your B-specs,i found out.

got this air trophy last night on my second account, as i only did the normal bspec races once (apart from a couple of losses and that god dam nascar championship) everything experience wise has come from a lot of seasonal bspec grinding although all endurance have been done apart from the 24 hr ones

I'd have to say seasonals do count but i could be wrong

What I had done for this trophy was shove my Brand New Bob in an X1 around the Autumn Mini Ring in the Sunday Cup.
Takes about 3-4minutes to do a race, just kept doing it over and over again while I did other things.

Am wondering, I heard that to get this, you have to fill up the drivers "experience bar" and that it takes about 500 races. My driver is at 72 races and that bar is over half full. So to get the trophy is it to fill that bar or do 500 races?

500 offline races in B-Spec have to occur on your account for any one, non-shared eligible driver - whether he is driving the races or not - to fill that bar.

does my bob still get the exp for that trophy when he is @ lv 40??
or does he has to be at an lower level to get that trophy??

B-spec drivers that reach level 40 can still gain experience, and thus still be able to fill their experience bar and earn this trophy.

Is this correct?

Why a brand new bob?

Hi there. I'm almost at the platinum trophy now and the only one I require is mentioned in the title of this thread. My driver is nearly to the 500 required races so just a bit of grinding left. However his stats have already started decreasing. My question is how can he have not yet reached the peak of his career if his speed and strength are on their way down? Am I the only one who thinks that doesn't make sense?

They do which is confusing. If his stats are decreasing then surely his best has been so he has already hit the peak?
