Oh crap, mine sucks now.

Demolition of the second span of the Milton-Madison Bridge over the Ohio River:

Taken from the cockpit of a FedEx MD-10.

37,000 feet put us in an area of moderate precipitation and heavy static charges. The St Elmo's Fire was just amazing. I decided to allow a 30 second exposure with all cockpit lights off. Amazing display!

So these aren't really the best quality, but this is what a rocket looks like from 98 miles away.

And here's one with the camera pointing nearly vertical only a few seconds later:

I was expecting a faint orange glow that I would have to look out for.But then suddenly this mini artificial sun went bolting into the air and I kinda fumbled with the camera a bit more than I was planning to.

The whiteness in the foreground is what's left of his bathtub.

Don't tell me you have TRAINS :dunce:

I do, I'm actually big into HO model trains, but don't have the room for a set up at my house unfortunately, so all my engines sit in boxes in my closet with a couple of them sitting proudly on tracks on a shelf.

I had a decent sized 6' x 12' layout at my parents house, but since I've moved out, its nothing more than a torn apart piece of wood leaning against the wall in the barn with Styrofoam, paper machete and wire hanging off it. :guilty:

Ahw that's a sad ending! Pretty cool though, never thought you were into that. I just started with these H0 trains :D Bought my first train last month :dopey: I'll throw in a PM for the sake of this thread :D

The German built USS Los Angeles floating over southern Manhattan. c.1924-28.

The same Zeppelin in 1927 at Lakehurst, hovering almost vertically whilst moored; a sudden rush of air lifted the aft into colder, denser air causing the ship to hover at around 85 degrees.

Another airship, the USS Akron, also flying over lower Manhattan.

I just think airships are really fascinating and interesting. Here's a comparison of other aircraft. For all intents and purposes, the graphic below is the same size as the two airships above. The Los Angeles and Akron were just 20ft shorter than the Hindenburg.

Apparently Solo's photo of a little girl holding a round mirror in her chest kinda looked bizarre.
