Glad he's okay. He kinda has that in him (pushing a car) and he is a pretty adequate driver -- but man Richard, it's not worth risking your life for a TV show. Using all of his nine lives here.

How many of these Rimac's are out there by the way?

According to Road & Track + Wikipedia, eight examples exist (well, seven now, if that article is to be believed and I'm not just drunk posting.)

That had the potential to be a really serious crash. Glad Hamster's ok 👍 More importantly, what does that say about Rimac's safety? How can an electric car with no flammable fuel on board combust like that?

Also wow time is flying fast. It feels just like yesterday that I watched the first episode and now we're only few months away from next season. I've been binge watching the old TG special road trips to fill the time and yes, they were so much better back then with the less-scripted banters and failings. Still gonna follow TGT, but at least now we know what to expect I suppose.

Edit: Sounds pretty serious.

Edit:2 Or maybe not.

Clarkson adds.

The car was severely under tired for the type of car that it is judging by the pictures and the type of event that they were doing.
I was genuinely upset when I read this this morning.

That was a prototype, you know.
I find this kind of insensitive, cars can be replaced, people can't.

Then he should not continually be putting himself in a position where as Casey Stoner would put it, his ambitions outstrip his talents.

Yes, but either way, we should be more concerned about the person than the car.

Why do people believe Hammond knows how to drive ? He just doesnt. He didnt do any drift segment in Top Gear (he learned to drift in TGT) and never really did particulary good against Clarkson when they were racing each others. Just look at the 24h race episode in TG and you'll see he doesnt really know how to drive.

They just have a good production team that makes you believe they know how to drive but they dont. And it seems they dont have stuntman on TGT or that he decide to do stuff himself.

On another news, pics of Hammond knee :

In german sorry.

Umm....

As for the 24h race, being unfamiliar with a track doesn't mean you can't drive. I'd say he did pretty good considering he's never been there before.

Watch any of his car reviews, he can heel and toe, drift, and just drive fast. He is a very capable driver that doesn't know his limits.

Season 2 Sneak Peak.

AMG GT R, 720S, Chiron, Ariel Nomad and Lancia 037 spotted

Well that crushed my hopes in thinking a cheap car challenge was on deck for The Grand Tour.

Apparently "The Drive" contacted Amazon inquiring about it. Amazon replied the segment with Jeremy standing on the muddy car will not be included in this season.
Hmm.

Are you serious.... I understand if the BBC, a company with merit, approached and started hassling Amazon. But The Drive?! Come on...

Uhh... I'm not sure you've quite read it right.

The Drive asked Amazon about the feature. Amazon responded that the feature would not be included - likely because of the agreements with the BBC.
