I'm still at a loss for how people are taking such huge pictures at higher resolutions. I have a GTX 1650, I should be able to take nicer screenshots than I'm getting out of CM's photomode.

Might sound like an odd question, but how are you going about taking the shots?

One thing that I do that night help, is I have a separate video preset in CM for replays, which winds down the fps to 30, that allows me to up the overall quality and get more out of my card. 30fps is more than enough for replay capture and obviously far more than you need for photomode.

It is a bit of a pain switching between the two, but I just save all my replays and then go for replay and photomode capture later.

Having a range of pp filters helps out a lot as well, as switching between them can make a massive difference to a photo, so I play around with them on the fly too.

Finally, I use the F5 free cam and also Drone Camera to get interesting angles (the drone cam is, however, better for replay capture as it doesn't work with manual shutter speeds).

I had the same question a few months ago, got some answers from the pros :)
you guys are so good, it's not even fair, i don't even know how to do a hi-res picture, mine are 1980x1200 max.

(how do you do?)

You mean the resolution multiplier?

And set the image to png instead of jpeg for lossless compression!

@VaiHalen , @Fall Guy
there is a NICE SCREENSHOT part in CM/CSP settings.
the resolution multiplier works great, I could easily get higher resolution image than my rig settings (one trick in 3D rendering is to render very high resolution and downsample after, usually makes a crisper image...)

No, no. Keep the resolution x1, it has nothing to do with quality. Those are good settings:

@Scaff I use F5 camera to take screenshots. Are you suggesting that to increase the size I need to make a new video preset in the Assetto Corsa settings that contains a higher resolution?

Tried some different settings. First one was just simply switching the photos to PNG and the second one was using the resolution multiplier and increasing the iterations. Both are still tiny compared to the average post here and I don't see any noticeable improvement in quality.

Here's a screenshot using 3840 X 2160 in the AC Video settings, that's double the resolution I was playing at before.

The image looks sharper and it's much nicer for a background, but as you can tell it's still tiny compared to everything else that's being posted here.

I also took a couple different versions of this shot while experimenting.
