I read somewhere that Pires said Viera has made up his mind to leave. I wish he would just pise-off to Real. Enough is enough.

I just read that Pires never did say that. It's all paper-talk bullcrap. The red tops are out to undermine Arsenal at the beginning of every season anyway.

Even if he didnt say it, Viera needs to make up his mind. Otherwise, it will affect the teams start to the season.

Sure. It got worse when Wenger admitted that himself. I hope the big man stays on, I really do. What happened to the real stalwarts like Adams? A lifetime at one club. I guess it won't happen anymore. Can we blame the players though? Would we do the same if we were being offered such obseen amounts of money? Maybe.

EDIT: How about Lee Mills six year stretch in the nick? A career ended just like that. It's sad. I mean it's beyond terrible for the poor fellow's family that was killed in the crash and there is nothing that can be said in defence of Mr. Mills, but I just think the whole story is a really tragic one. I feel for both families.

I agree with bastige. Running away just makes it worse.

Even more reason to boo the Magpies :D

Since when have West Brom been the Magpies? Have I missed something? I haven't been back to the UK for three years, so maybe I have. Please enlighten me!

No, they're still the Baggies.

I wonder how many people will buy a Lee Hughes replica strip? Will the stands at The Hawthorns this season look like this?

Heh, it's been a wacky year for football.

Several rape cases, involving Leeds and Leicester, many affairs, scandal transfers. Now this Lee Hughes case.

Let's hope this season is more about the football.

Leeds and Leicester?

Isn't this thread supposed to be about Premiership football?

(and I'm still :lol:ing about Leeds).

Oh yeah, I forgot it was the 2004/2005 season thread.

It was a review of last season is all. :dopey:

I see Charlton bought Danny Murphy and some other recognised striker (i think - forgot the name). They looked like decent purchases.

Oh yea, Baggies, not Magpies. 👍

Jeffers, they bought Jeffers.

The Arsenal reject.

By the way crotch, join GTP's EPL fantasy football leauge.

Do we actually know if the Premiership is going to be the 'Barclaycard Premiership' this year. It might have a new sponsor

I was almost right.

It is actually the Barclays Premiership, not barclaycard. You might want to change the title.

Crystal palace for sure, I swear they were a mid/bottom 1st div side. I also agree on Everton, i've heard that they are seriously lacking players.

Yays. A great weekend of results (besides Charlton losing :grumpy: ). Roy Keane sucks like a Neville in defence.

It's Chelsea's title this year. For sure.

Arsenal have stared off to a flyer (albeit against everton). I still have my doubts about Chelsea but we will see.
