The beginning of the end for Mitsubishi?

If ford can turn around mazda (and itself) and gm can turn itself around, why can't one of them turn around mitsu? I actually think the new galant is a nice looking car. If they would drop that horrid outlander, maybe things would turn around a little.

Actually that does sound good AWD and real power, exept for it being powered by mitsu.

DCX could be doing the samething GM did to Isuzu. Letting them go bankrupt, then picking them up for cheap.

But then again DCX did dump its shares of Hyundai stock as well.

(I have also heard that Hyundai and Mitsu maybe planing a merge)

Mitsubishi is closing one of its engine manufacturing plants in my home city of Adelaide Australia, also they said they will close the vehicle manufacturing plant in 2011 (also in Adelaide).
